Prenatals/ Supplements?

So I just realized my prenatals and b12s are expired so I need recs for new ones! I’m a vegetarian so I’ll be doing both. What’s everyone’s favorite brand? What other supplements are you taking? I’m also thinking of doing a collagen and/ or protein supplement, & I do vit c powder with my prenatal to help with iron absorption—interested to see what else you guys have got going.

Re: Prenatals/ Supplements?

  • Mine are also expired! My first pregnancy I used Nature Made and the Nordic Natural Omega 3 supplement. For the price of Nature Made vs the content I think it’s great, but it doesn’t have choline so I wanted something different this time. I spent the weekend researching and decided on Ritual plus their pre/probiotic and the additional choline supplement. It’s vegetarian and includes iron without calcium, which might help me with the absorption (at least that’s what the internet claims lol). I do fine with calcium but tend to be anemic. I also plan to do Needed Prenatal Collagen Protein powder to hopefully keep up with work outs and nutrition needs there.

  • I also took Omega 3 and vitamin C
  • I also take Ritual, I used them for my previous pregnancy too and they were great. I also use the Needed brand collagen protein powder in my coffee in the morning, it blends right in and has no flavor. It’s a little pricy though might be cheaper kinds out there
  • I am also taking Ritual prenatals. Last pregnancy I used Modern Fertility but I didn’t want to have a monthly subscription as I tend to forget about cancelling them 🙃
  • I'm using the combo pack Nature Made has of their prenatal + choline - I used to with my first two as well and it's honestly one of the few I was able to hold down when I had HG, so I've sort of just stuck with it.

  • I used Nature Made during my first pregnancy, then found out it tested positive for lead . See lead safemama on IG. I moved to Dr. Green Mom for prenatal and omegas
  • I am using TheraNatal. I like it as they are separated out by week and day plus it has 13 weeks per box. My fatigue greatly decreased once I started taking them as well. I don't recommend d if you have nausea as it's 3 pills and you can taste the fish oil.
  • I am taking vegetarian and organic prenatal vitamins from the vIda-l0-cîty. It contains all nutrients needed to support your body before, during and after pregnancy. Including folate, iron and essential nutrients. They are lighter on my system and they also don't have any added fillers.
