February 2025 Babies

ECV success??

Iโ€™m 37 weeks, and after a growth ultrasound yesterday, found that baby is breech. I was encouraged to perform spinning babies exercises this weekend, and if babe still isnโ€™t flipped by next week, theyโ€™ll try a ECV. I have an anterior placenta, and am nervous of the risks to baby and placenta doing this procedure this late (side note, baby is BIGโ€”-almost 8 lbs already). I am on the fence of trying the procedure, or avoiding risks and just scheduling a c section. This is my second pregnancy. First was vaginal, so I wanted to avoid a C-section, but I just donโ€™t know if itโ€™s worth the risk. Any thoughts or experiences are helpful!!ย

Re: ECV success??

  • Im going to my 36 week appt this week to see if baby is still breech. I've been doing spinning babies exercises multiple times a day for the last week. I'm pretty sure she hasn't budged. Currently lying here doing the miles circuit. I also go to a webster certified chiro every week. I'm trying everything to avoid a c-section.

Just remember, growth scans are rarely accurate. Your baby may not be as big as they say (I know from experience) and even so, your body was made to birth your baby.

  • Thanks!!! Good luck that your baby is flipped! Mine was not, C-section scheduled Jan 29. Hopefully they flip by then! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
  • My girl did flip. Must have been all that hanging upside down. Lol. I wish you the best of luck!
