E. coli (bladder infection in 3 week old baby boy)

Anyone experience their newborn having a bladder infection? Paediatrician says this can sometimes happen out of no where. I can’t help but feel like the worst mom in the world. We’ve had bloodwork and urine samples confirm the bacteria. Only sign leading up to this was a fever that went away as quick as it came. Now on edge watching baby like a hawk.

    My paediatric dr was saying to be cautious when wiping a poop, and to always clean their penis even if it’s a pee. I could only imagine how you’re feeling but don’t discredit yourself you are doing amazing and boys are tricky. This is my first and i think I’m overly anxious and cautious with everything.
