๐๐ง๐๐ฌ: What's your idea of a fun date night?
Re: Weekly Check-In 1/6
Hmmm...doing an escape room and then having delicious food and drinks at one of our favorite restaurants!
Fishing or a nice dinner out!
Currently, taking a nap and trying not to puke. In the โbefore timesโ, going on a picnic by the lake.
raves: the closer I get to the second trimester, the less I throw up ๐๐
rants: Less of a rant and more just anxiety- my husband is originally from England and we now live in Northern California. We are flying back to England next week to see the fam and Iโve been super nervous about having a long haul flight (10ish hours). Our doctor has given us the green light and recommended I get compression socks but Iโm still worried about my little nugget.ย
I love when my husband and I do a fun activity and then dinner! We live close to a mini putt place, so in the summers we often go to the arcade, do a round of mini putt and then end the night with dinner.ย
Probably eating food now that food is sounding a little better:)ย
๐๐ง๐๐ฌ: What's your idea of a fun date night? Usually going to a brewery where they have board games or trivia. But now, Iโd say going to a movie. We have an Alamo Drafthouse nearby and they do so many fun things for movie lovers.ย
Anything without the kids ๐คช
Last date night we went out for dinner somewhere that's no child friendly and then just spent the evening walking by the beach. Ended with a movie together at home and some dessert.ย
I've flown internationally with both my first pregnancies and will do again with this one. Flew at 20 weeks with my first and 30 with my second. It's uncomfortable, but totally doable. Tip is to request special assistance when booking your flight (or on your booking confirmation page). They will bring a wheelchair and wheel you to connecting flights and through immigration if needed. Even if you feel you don't need it or don't "look pregnant" it's a huge help to skip lines and not deal with all the stress of making it from one place to another. The people assisting me have always been amazing and so kind. (Bring a bit of small bills for tips if that's something you'd do. I found they were so awesome I definitely wanted to tip and wish I could've done more.)
Compression socks were great, and lots of snacks. Also don't be afraid to ask flight attendants for extra water/drink/snack. You don't even have to say you are pregnant and they will be happy to help you.ย
I'm going for a prenatal massage tonight actually. Many spas also offer prenatal services, some require you to be out of the first trimester. I'd just Google "prenatal massage" for your area and then check for ones with good reviews and that look professional. Usually it comes with a bigger price tag but it's so worth it! Typically you lay on your side instead of back/front, sometimes being propped up by pillows to make sure baby is in a good position.ย
I do! Even though this is my 3rd.ย
Last week at a mall this lady was trying to get my to sample some herbal tea (in the hopes I'd buy it) and she was super insistent. I just told her "no thanks, I'm pregnant and I'd rather not" thinking that would get her to stop. But I felt a bit silly and like idk not "pregnant enough" to make that statement ๐ย
A nice walk at a nature trail followed by some ice cream and dinnerย
