Trying to get pregnant after miscarriage and D&C

It's been about a year and a bit maybe a bit longer since having a miscarriage at 13 weeks and then needing a D&C (which wasn't realized by the doctor for about a month after the miscarriage). We have been trying to conceive now for about 7 months or so with no success. I am booking a doctor's appointment to check myself and him for any fertility issues they may notice but is there any recommendations on what to ask the doctors or what to try? I had no issues getting pregnant with my first child so this is all new to me and I'm nervous that something is wrong due to the troubles we are having this time.

    Idk how old you are, but if you are under 35, usually you don’t need to do testing until you have been having unprotected sex for 12 months with no success. It’s normal for it to take that long even if nothing is wrong, so even though 7 months seems like a long time, it’s not cause for worry. If you are over 35, though, the recommendation is to get things checked out after 6 months.

    Have you been doing anything to track ovulation to make sure you are getting good timing? I recommend reading the Newbie Guide pinned at the top of the page. Lots of good info about what to try in there.
