Amniotic Fluid [warning: image included]

Woke up to this on my pad this morning… I’m 35 wks… No smell… Went to the ER Thursday and they did a cervix check, and after the gel went down there I became irritated down there… Could this be some of my Amniotic Fluid? No smell, no burning, and no itching…Could it be old blodd

    Could it be the gel they used during the cervix check? Or if it’s old blood it could just be that they irritated the cervix and it bled a little, it’s not uncommon during pregnancy and often happens after intercourse. 35weeks it could also be a bit of cervical mucus, because the mucus plug is fully there and you’ll have extra discharge as your body maintains that. 

    If it is amniotic fluid from a leak you’ll probably see more throughout the day or feel it when you change position— that’s what happened to me with my first baby, but not until 40 weeks. You should check in with your OB about that because they will want to monitor you for infections.

    Thank you… I sent her a email, but it haven’t happen anymore so I’m guessing it was old blood

    I would assume that is from the cervical check- which can cause some light bleeding. Hopefully your Dr can ease your mind.
