Crossfit Moms to be

Anyone out there do crossfit? Just curious your experience with Doctors reactions. Your experience continuing to workout.

Ohh and when did you tell your coaches you were pregnant.

And any helpful tips or modifications as the weeks and months of pregnancy goes on!

Re: Crossfit Moms to be

  • Absolutely, many women continue to do CrossFit throughout their pregnancies, and it can be incredibly beneficial with the right modifications and support. Doctors often have varying reactions, but many recognize the importance of staying active as long as you listen to your body and make necessary adjustments. It's generally advised to inform your coaches as soon as you feel comfortable, so they can help tailor workouts to suit your needs.

As for tips, focus on maintaining core stability and avoiding high-impact movements as your pregnancy progresses. Consider substituting exercises that may strain your abdomen or pelvis with safer alternatives. Always prioritize hydration and rest, and don’t hesitate to communicate any discomfort you experience during workouts. Joining a community of other pregnant athletes can also provide invaluable support! Remember, it's all about adapting your routine while keeping fit—your health is what matters most!  :)

I did CrossFit throughout pregnancy with my doctor’s approval. Coaches were supportive once I told them at 12 weeks. Key mods: lighter weights, slower pace, and avoiding high-impact moves. Listen to your body and stay hydrated! Also I did some exercises from here. Communication with both your doctor and coach is crucial as pregnancy progresses.
