๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด? Horrible. But thankfully I think I'm over the flu! I feel for anyone else going through it or not yet recovered. It kicked my butt this time ๐ข
๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐/๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐:ย I have been so thankful my MIL has come over to help with our 2 oldest, and yet I'm ready to have the sacredness of our home back, if you know what I mean. I'm definitely an introvert and might be a bit particular about some things...ย

๐๐ง๐๐ฌ: one Christmas tradition I attempt to hold to is a Christmas brunch for my immediate family and sometimes invite grandparents. It's not happening this year since I'm only just beginning to feel better and don't have the energy to cook 3-4 casseroles on top of normal meals in the next few days. But we will still have stockings to open and a Christmas Eve gift which is a family tradition. Usually it's a pair of PJs to wear going to bed and all day Christmas day.ย

We do Feast of the Seven Fishes at my dad's house on Christmas eve! Here in New England we have access to great seafood. So it's always yummy!ย
My family was never good about having Christmas traditions and my husband is Muslim so he doesnโt celebrate any holidays this time of year. The thing that gives me the most joy is seeing all the lights up and watching Christmas movies while relaxing at home.
My family has always done ornaments as a gift on Christmas Eve, so we're continuing that with our daughter. We didn't get one last year because she wasn't even 3 weeks old and we also knew that other people would get them (I think she ended up with 3 "First Christmas" ornaments, plus the hand/footprint ones we made).ย
There arenโt any good words, but my heart is with you
@redseawitch I hope the nausea gets better soon!! We also don't celebrate Christmas, but we love seeing all the pretty lights.ย
@butterflyhunny that's about how I felt my first few pregnancies, no major nausea but I'd suddenly need to eat NOW.
@sonjanae ugh, I'm so sorry, that sounds so frustrating, and I'm angry on your sister's behalf too! Unless he has some really good reason he's unable to do anything, he'd better get it together and help out! Yay for heartbeats though!ย
@routtymama Oh that sounds lovely, I hope you enjoy! My parents watched our two oldest before our 3rd was born so we could go away for a few days and it was amazing. Afterward they said it was a bit too tiring though, so we won't be asking again. I am their youngest, and they're both 70 now. I'm not quite in the geriatric category, as I'll be 34 when I give birth. But thank you for the reminder about taking the baby aspirin! It's apparently recommended for twin pregnancies, and I'd been neglecting it on my vacation - just took it again tonight.
@igrokthat it definitely is a thing that it can get a LOT better around 2nd trimester, but if it doesn't, be sure to talk with your care provider, since they might be able to give you something that can help. (You probably already know/are doing that, but just in case.)
@bluejaybaby sending you hugs. That's so hard. I hope the memories that you and your sisters share are a comfort to you.
