๐๐ผ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด? My nausea has gotten a lot better and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't come back. I'm still super tired all the time. And I'm having more headaches lately, but staying really hydrated helps.
๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐/๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐: This is both a rant and a rave all in one. Recently, when it's time for a diaper change, my toddler suddenly runs up to me saying "mama, hug!" He knows I will not resist a hug and he clings on for a suuuuper long hug. And he'll do this while giving my husband this smirky smile like he knows exaaaactly what he's doing to delay the diaper change. It is both incredibly adorable and also frustrating. I'm thinking we're going to have to potty train soon, bc diaper changes are becoming more and more of a battle lately!
๐ค๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐: Any other STM+ moms starting to show a bit? It's mostly just bloat but I'm starting to see a bump. This is crazy to me because I'm just about 10 weeks, and did not start to show with my first until about 17 weeks!

I think I'd go to Italy! I've been to the coast of Italy before, but I'd love to go the cities and see the country side.
Anyone have an annoying ammount of discharge? It freaks me out and is also uncomfortable.

Rant: not telling people at work has been tough especially with my nausea. It doesnโt help that my commute is two hours both ways and my boss is a bit nosey (lol save me). My husband and I already made the decision to tell our families we are expecting over Christmas, and to hold off until the NY for everyone else but itโs getting harder by the day.ย
Rave: I really love the holiday cheer around my neighborhood, almost all my neighbors have put up lights on their houses and itโs been making me so happy. When itโs not raining, my husband and I have been taking little walks around the neighborhood at night just to admire the lights and talk about what it will be like to have a little one next year to soak in all the magic with us.ย

I try to limit it to only when they are really bad. And I feel like I need to snack constantly to keep nausea manageable. Hoping to get back to some sort of workout routine next week.ย

idk if this helps but with the NIPT Natera Panorama, my dr told me the companyโs prompt-pay cash price is typically $250,ย so you can call the Natera company directly and theyโll talk you through it, for me they couldnโt give a cost with insurance until actually doing the test but if my insurance price is higher than $250 then the most to pay would be $250 if paid promptly. (You can google Natera Compassionate Care and try their calculator to see if you qualify for any financial assistance as well.)
I think weโve decided not to do the testing because there are just soo many bills right now and it is ย overwhelming to add another. The dr was clear that itโs an optional screening/personal preference and that if $250 feels like a lot at the holidays, she advises patients to just skip it. I still feel a little nervous about skipping it and missing something important, though.ย
Also @lalalauren15 I looooove Outlander!! Havenโt read the books though. Itโs on my list!

๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐/๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐: Finally had our first appointment and we got to see our little bean! Thankfully everything is going well and the heart rate was good. Because I was measuring 9 weeks we were able to do the NIPT earlier so that was exciting too and I can't wait to get the results.

Since I'm not feeling too up for traveling right now, I would just love a good staycation BY MYSELF where I can veg with no responsibilities or do things at my own leisure.@watermelonsunshine I saw that same thing now, so I went ahead and scheduled for the NIPT. With my age I figured better to just go ahead with it. Plus my husband seemed eager to know the sex earlier!
I don't even want to think about leaving the house right now, let alone a vacation ๐ Though I live in Asia and love it here, so maybe another Asian country?ย
Also little sidenote: in many Asian countries they don't stress the no raw fish rule... Because in many places like Japan, quality sushi is very safe and considered healthy/nutritious for pregnant moms. I had sushi for dinner (though I chose cooked fish because I'd still rather be safe than sick).ย
Also we are doing NIPT because our insurance covers it thankfully, though I think if it wasn't covered we'd probably also skip it and just wait to see more details at the anatomy scan. After all, it is a screening test, not a diagnostic test, so it can (usually accurately) predict certain genetic markers but it's not 100%.ย
Too many times issues (of any kind) can just be swept under the rug and then there's a whole hush hush atmosphere. Especially for kids I think it's good to address any family problems/challenges in a age-sensitive matter. Like you said, they catch on so quickly to the vibe in the room! I wish my family would've addressed issues when I was younger instead of just pretending sad things didn't happen and everything was A-OK.ย
My daughter is 5, and we also told her right away. I knew she would notice the changes and wanted to make sure she understood that while a baby was growing, sometimes things happen and we would let her know how everything was going.ย

I had a review at work with a new manager (who never met me before I was pregnant) and I got marked down a little for basically being ย negative and unenthusiastic at Zoom meetings (which are mostly all first thing in the morning when I feel the worst).
