As long as we don’t get another winter vortex! Everything was fun last year until the ice storm and we lost power for a week here in OR. Hoping and praying that doesn’t happen when preg!
@shieldmaiden95 same 😅 my son has been asking literally every day, it makes me sad because he remembers rocky mountain mountain blizzards and how much fun we had. I wish I could pnw cost of living but rocky mountain weather haha! I see why people buy winter or summer houses because dang I'd like to have a white Christmas again!
In happier news, I'm almost completely done with Christmas shopping, I was on my absolute A game this black Friday, I'm a notoriously terrible shopper but I tried really hard to not be that hot mess mom buying last minute and it paid off. I got myself a Bissell crosswave (Merry Christmas to me) and this thing utterly slays, my entire downstairs in our new house is wood floors and the mop and bucket system was killing my back.
@kalesix3 oh look at you go girl! Good job! I had great plans for being all decorated and Christmas shopping done by now but the morning sickness has lasted and not helping! Does the crosswave sweep and mop at the same time? That sounds amazing! 🤩 I’m hoping for a white Christmas but we haven’t had much snow the last few years.
@kalesix3 awwe man. I would love Rocky mountain blizzards. That's my kind of weather. Lol It actually was snowing last night/ early morning here, when I went out with the dog. But it wasn't much and melted pretty fast. I was really hoping to wake up to white everywhere. But no. 😓
Good job finishing shopping! I wish I could say the same. 😂 I say I'm going to shop earlier every year, and don't. My hubby's birthday is Dec 12th. So I have double present duty with him. 😂 And of course I procrastinate. 😂😂
@kmbeit you aren't kidding, it's so hard to find the motivation this season but I'm pushing through, I'm not done decorating though! I have one more garland to hang 😮💨 I'm shopping for a bunch of other families as well this Christmas which is something I typically don't do, it's more work but very rewarding. The crosswave does sweep and mop and steam stains and gunk off the floors as well as steam cleaning rugs 😍 it can literally do everything and it's self cleaning cycle is just the best because I hate manually washing out carpet cleaners.
@shieldmaiden95 oh man the Christmas birthday would take me all the way out 😩😩 that's so hard, do you ever just combine the two and make a Christmas cake and call it good?
@kalesix3 It is hard to find motivation! Although I have to say I’ll be glad I won’t be pregnant for the whole summer and heat! 😄 Good for you! Aww that sounds like fun though making other people’s Christmas special! Oh that thing sounds amazing! I might have to look into one! And a self cleaning cycle…yeah cleaning those carpet cleaners is so gross!
@kmbeit it's funny because I have an October baby so I was pregnant through all the seasons, but in the mountains our last snow of the year was in June and the summers were lovely, legitimately I would die I think to be pregnant through a pnw summer full of disgusting bugs that never die and humidity that smothers me alive! June is hot enough 😅
@shieldmaiden95 birthmas cracks me up! No but as a child that probably sucked for him 😩 I hope everything comes together beautifully this year!
I'm making a lot of progress with wrapping gifts each day as they arrive and not letting five hundred boxes pile up to overwhelm me on Christmas eve but finding the motivation is spotty most days, honestly we are the real deal for slaying Christmas with this fatigue and I'm still sick constantly so I'm probably going to sleep for three months straight once it's January 😴
@kalesix3 My first was an October baby! It was awful trying to survive the heat and humidity of summer! Lol I’m really enjoying the cool weather this time although I have to say I feel like I’m freezing more this pregnancy than overheating! 😄
great job getting all the things done while dealing with fatigue! My mom came to visit yesterday so I’m going to put her to work the few days she’s here! 😂
@kalesix3 yeah, he definitely didn't enjoy them. His dad side never did it. But that's all his mom side would do, without fail. 😂
My first was an Oct. Baby too. We were actually talking about that at my last app. How June is perfect to have the baby, before the real heat hits. 😁 Happy about that.
@kalesix3 I went to my appointment today, they moved my due date!!! Since I'm a week ahead they are actually going with it. So I'm June 5th now! When they told me, I thought of you instantly. Still say we're twins in this though. 😂
@kmbeit ugh I can believe it and yet .. there's something so romantic about bringing a new baby home in the autumn as it gets cold and you snuggle down for winter. I think the humidity would likely kill me but I really want another autumn baby so we'll see for the future! I actually found it immensely challenging to have a newborn in the 100°+ summers where I am because she got a heat rash constantly and you know the pnw collectively can't get their ish together with A/C. We have central air now though so it hopefully won't be a problem but yeah that was kind of lame with my last June baby, and honestly I never expected to have one summer baby much less two but here we are! I hope they like outdoors because with a four year old and a two year old we're going to be outside constantly. Definitely put your mom to work, this fatigue is no joke, I think staying up till 2 doing Christmas things is killing me slow. I keep forgetting to help my kiddos do their advent calendar because all my brain cells are fried lol.
@shieldmaiden95 that's amazing! Wow I didn't know they would change your due date but I bet that feels good to know! They won't change my due date (except for the mistype mistake that got made with 11th vs 12th) unless I'm measuring three weeks ahead, my son was 2 weeks ahead frequently and my due date stayed the same but that's because I have fetal death as a complication in my history so they're wary of changing a due date and increasing any risk. I don't mind though, in my experience my babies measuring behind catch up by labor and the ones measuring ahead slow their growth closer to full term so it evens out! I have no idea when this one will be born but it will probably be sometime between June 5 and June 11th i'd expect, my others were 40 weeks, 39+3 and 39+5. I don't go over my due dates as a matter of course after my first died in labor. It's probably fine if I do now but I just don't want to risk even the slightest chance so I get the ball rolling early and it's a good system. It's nice to think that you'll probably be holding your baby in your arms even sooner! I've never gone to labor on the same day as my due date twin so it would be cool if this is the one time haha 😅 we'll see!
@kalesix3 I never thought of the heat through summer with a baby! And you’re right about an autumn one! It is so fun to have a newborn in the snuggle season and not have to run here and there with summer activities as well. But I’m hoping it will be a nice summer and we can enjoy the outdoors! I have a 2 yo and pretty sure we’ll be spending lots of time outside too. So thankful for the help my mom gave. She got my tree decorated and house more festive looking and also did the cooking while she was here and baked some cookies. So yeah it was nice having someone else to do that stuff! And also help entertain the little guy!
@kalesix3 with our June baby we lived in Utah and our house had a swamp cooler, which is definitely not effective in the 100+ heat. All her baby pictures are her naked in a diaper because it was so hot that year. Thankfully we're in the midwest now and have a/c.
@kalesix3 ommmgg girl. 💜💜 I'm so so sorry you experienced that!!! I can't.. I have no words. Just sending you love. And a hug! *Hug*
Yeah, they said anything over a week they will change it and I gave birth at 39 weeks exactly last time, so they only think it's fair to change it. I feel just an estimate anyways. I'll probably give birth in May. 😂
@kalesix3 yes!! I’ve felt him for like 3 weeks honestly. But with this one being my second I know what to feel for I guess. Those little flutters are so great though 🥹
@kalesix3 I’ve felt some random movement I’m pretty sure! Not as much as my last pregnancy I don’t think but this time o have an anterior placenta so I’m wondering if that’s hindering feeling as much 🤷🏼♀️ so exciting though and makes it feel more real!

Whew that was a marathon, I hope you all had a beautiful day!
