  • DD / Weeks + Days: 3/15, 25 weeks

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

Baby is the size of a (an): cauliflower

    Team blue/pink/green: Green

    Upcoming Appointments: 12/6 regular OB

How are you feeling?: pretty good!  Sleep habits were much better last week so that was refreshing. I do feel a lot more pressure/stretching across my stomach with this pregnancy compared to my others.

Rants/Raves: I've established a cup of hot tea routine in the evenings now that it's so cold out and it's been nice to have a special drink to look forward to (mint, chamomile, or decaf chai)

Questions: who has started their nursery? We just got the big kids settled in their room and cleaned out what will be the nursery again.

GTKY: What's your favorite Christmas song? Do you hear what I hear (Whitney Houston or Carrie Underwood versions) and The Little Drummer boy (Pentatonix)

How are you feeling?: Good! But also heavy. My belly has finally popped and is in full effect. Feel like it gets bigger by the day

Rants/Raves: sleeping is hard. It’s frustrating not being able to turn from side to side easily in the bed.

    Questions: none

GTKY: What's your favorite Christmas song?

Little Drummer Boy - Leslie Odom Jr version and Baby it’s cold outside
  • I'm due March 29th with my son Zeke 💙 This is my fourth baby.

My next checkup is on the 18th.

I've been feeling tired all day, each day this week. Nothing new.

Rave: My older son got to feel his baby brother kick for the first time today! That was special to me.

Rant + Question: How do you plan to handle the end-of-pregnancy questions? "How are you doing?" "Are you having any contractions?" "Did you have your baby yet?" All these really irritated me last 2 pregnancies (I went to 41&1 with my 3rd baby, then I made a castor oil cocktail and never told the midwife. But that labor was my fastest at just under an hour!) so this pregnancy I've been vague about my due date "End of March/beginning of April" but I've caught on that folks are counting me as due at the end of March, which is true. But I hate those questions so I now wish I had said instead "I'm choosing to keep the due date private this time." Maybe if I get pregnant again, that's what I'll say instead. My midwife recommended I simply not answer any questions that I don't want to answer. It's fine advice but those questions still mess with the mind and hearing "Wow, you're still pregnant?!" - does anyone who says that honestly expect a kind or positive response? I dread going through the same thing this pregnancy. I can't handle the questions I only get when people want to know if I had my baby or if I'm having any contractions when actually I'm still pregnant and I wish I weren't and I'm not having any contractions but I'm trying everything to go into labor. And, being past the due date everything is highly irritating. I get so grouchy and my mood swings are huge. I feel upset just thinking about it. 😮‍💨

Upcoming Appointments: 12/11 if you don’t count a last minute trip to the OB on Tuesday

How are you feeling?: My lower back is in a constant state of pain, I ordered some new belly bands to help with that because the ones I ordered originally are too small. On Monday night Tuesday morning I started experiencing numbness and tingling on my right ribs right at my bra line and it’s really bothering me. I’m also starting to get more tired and need naps more regularly.

Rants/Raves: We still have so much work to do to set up the nursery, it’s really worrying me I don’t have a dresser for all the clothes we have and will be getting.

Questions: Is anyone doing cloth or reusable diapers instead of disposable ones? What dresser did you end up getting?

GTKY: What's your favorite Christmas song? I’m a grinch and I only like the Christmas jazz with no lyrics
  • Oh I totally forgot to mention this weeks fun new development is that I’ve already started leaking colostrum. It’s a tiny amount but it feels very early.
  • @eclaire90 I got the storkcraft Alpine 6 drawer double dresser. It’s on Amazon. I was fortunate enough to get it free from my friend who just recently had a baby but did not end up using the dresser so she offered it to me. The drawers are huge and I think I’ll be able to fit a lot in them.
  • @ksd20 we are pretty much finished with the nursery. We have the crib, dresser, and decorations up. The last thing we need is a good chair to go in there. Any one have recommendations on a good rocking chair or reclining chair for the nursery?
  • @allfacestheoaks the end of pregnancy questions are the worst! I usually try to brush them off and just give a short answer " yep. Still pregnant. *tense smile*" I've also been vague with my EDD for that reason too.

@eclaire90 we used cloth diapers with my first two and plan to again. I bought a bunch second hand and then have added to them as baby grows and needs changed. Feel free to ask any questions! We use a mix of all in one's, pockets, fitted, flats, and prefolds. Brands include Green Mountain diapers, thirsties, bumgenius, Charlie banana, Alva, and a ruffle one I'm drawing a blank on.  Fluff Love and CD science is a good resource for establishing a solid wash routine although they can be intense
  • I just popped on to say I have been REALLY MIA this pregnancy because I’ve been struggling HARD. Buy I’m going to try and catch up/ join back in because the supports of a due date group are amazing! I hope everyone is doing well.
  • Aww @dunder_mifflin sorry to hear you’ve been struggling. We’re here to listen/support in any way we can
