I love to cook! I’m always perusing Pinterest, NYT Cooking, and other food blogs, looking for yummy recipes to try. We also have a large collection of cookbooks (around 50 I think). I like to cook for others too, and I when I do, I put my heart into the meal. My husband and I are definitely “foodies”!
Here’s a recipe I cooked recently that was a hit: Instant Pot Vegetarian Lentil Chili. So yummy!
I love stories! I'm a slow but avid reader. My favorite novel is The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. I'm currently working my way through Moby Dick by Herman Mellville and The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson. And with the kids, I read The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson to them, and now we're going through the accompanying short stories. I like to write stories for my own enjoyment when I get the chance. And I play Dungeons and Dragons, which is basically group storytelling.

I recently quit my job to stay home with our boys and I have loved cooking! I spend my free time trying to find new recipes, too! Unfortunately, my boys are such picky eaters right now! (They were each such good eaters when they were little, but are in a picky phase. My oldest is starting to come out of it. I know in a few years I’ll be stressed that I can’t keep them fed, but it can be so frustrating to work so hard to find something I think they will enjoy and they won’t eat it!) My husband is enjoying my love for cooking and baking, so I have one supporter. I am ready to not be feeling so nauseous so I can get back to some healthier meals.
@routtymama My son is 2 and just starting to get into a picky phase. I also keep reminding myself that one day he’ll appreciate my cooking 😛 And yeah, suuuuper ready for the nausea to pass so I can eat something besides plain carbs!
@littleyellowdragon I also love stories and play dungeons and dragons as well. I've listened to D&D podcasts, basically listening to a real-time (or slightly edited) group storytelling effort. These days I listen to audiobooks a lot, and I really enjoyed The NPCs by Drew Hayes, though unfortunately it's an unfinished series.
I play with a group of other women online, and just started leading a game for my brother, niece and nephews, though it's hard to arrange times due to a 7 hour time difference. I had my 2nd child a couple of months after starting to play with my current group, and my DM made an adorable character sheet for him!

I may try this! The weather is just right for chili, and soups are my favorite type of thing to cook since they're so forgiving.
@littleyellowdragon I think I’m going to buy the Wingfeather series for Christmas! Glad to hear you all have enjoyed it!
