    Upcoming Appointments: 11/20 for my 16 week appointment 

    How are you feeling?: I've been feeling nervous, but for no real reason other than I'm not feeling super pregnant yet, which I know is typical at this stage. I'm excited to hear our girl's heartbeat next week. 

    Rants/Raves: my son got sent home from daycare with a fever today and I've been coughing a bit. I'm praying it blows over quickly. Also the bump app wasn't working for me for the last week. I could read all the posts but couldn't respond, it was very weird.

    Questions: none that I can think of right now.

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it?
    I last went to Mt. Joy and it was amazing, but I'm super excited because I'm seeing Billie Eilish this week!! I'm a huge fan!! 🤩

    Upcoming Appointments: Thursday is my 12 week appointment and am ultrasound. I CANNOT wait.

    How are you feeling?: energy seems to be mostly back which is great. Still nauseous here and there but I am suspecting it has more to do with acid reflux. 

    Rants/Raves: rant: just stressed that my acid reflux is going to be bad this whole pregnancy. I'm going to talk to my doctor about that on Thursday
    Rave: I am obsessed with the Built to Birth YouTube channel and I am very close to buying her whole program. We'll see if I can convince my husband. Even if we don't she has a wealth of information for those interested in natural birth!

    Questions: has anyone felt baby yet? With my 2nd I started to feel him around this time, but so far the last few days I've just felt a fullness here and there in my uterus that sort of feels like Braxton Hicks already.

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it?
    2 summers ago I saw The Used and Rise Against and it was really awesome. Loved it. Took my back to my youth lol 🤣

    Upcoming Appointments: 12/9 for my 16 week appointment 

    How are you feeling?: good! My symptoms are pretty minimal at this point! I still get moody and sleepy but that’s it. 

    Rants/Raves: my husband and I signed up for one of those punch cards for ultrasounds at a local company that offers them! We get 4 through our pregnancy. We went this last weekend and it was incredible. She was moving like crazy! I could see her little arms and legs kicking. It was incredible. 

    Questions: When we did that ultrasound, baby was measuring bigger. I was 12 weeks 2 days at the time, but she was measuring 12 weeks and 6 days. Is that normal? 

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it? Oh I can’t even remember! I lived in NYC for a while, and I think the last show I saw was Florence and the machine there?

    sammich07- I was wondering when I could expect to feel! I swear I get little fluttery feelings sometimes but I don’t even know what to expect!

    Upcoming Appointments: this week, bit I won't be able to make it amd have to reschedule 😭

    How are you feeling?: I'm OK. Nausea came back hitting in the morning sometimes. 

    Rants/Raves: I was another one that couldn't post or interact! Glad everything is back to normal. I think I've been feeling things every so often. I'm excited to start to feel some for sure movement in the next couple weeks. With my first I think my first feeling was closer to 18 weeks. 

    Questions: none :)

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it? Oh sheesh. It's been a while. I think a cover band of some sort. Going to Lindsey sterling soon though!

    @sammich @knottie450461fd7a745c8e I didn't feel my son until like 23 weeks! But I'm hoping to feel kicks sooner with this pregnancy. I have an anterior placenta again though, so I know that affects it

    How are you feeling?: like some of you I’m getting my energy back (kind of) but already getting heartburn. Last pregnancy it would get so bad I couldn’t eat after 4pm if I wanted to sleep at night. Really hoping that doesn’t happen this time around

    Rants/Raves: rant- I’m not feeling exhausted and needing a nap everyday but I’m still just so tired that I’m struggling to get stuff done around the house.  Really hard to not be disappointed in my energy level when we need to move our son into a new room and get her nursery ready
    rave: loving listening to Down to Birth. They do a great job bringing guests on that help you understand things like baby positioning, exercise, positive birth stories, and general support. @sammich078 that may be something you would also like if you’re leaning toward an unmedicated birth!

    Questions:
    I got the stomach flu and lost 4lbs and it looks like it’s stayed off. Anyone else have this issue? It’s got me so anxious about the baby- I know it’s not good to lose weight while pregnant especially after the first trimester

    not a question but I haven’t felt the baby move yet, last time I think it was around 22w before I felt him so I hope it’s earlier this time! Had posterior placenta so I think I was just unobservant!


    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it?
    I genuinely don’t remember- I’m a bit of a home body and large crowds and loud music aren’t really my thing.  Wish it was because they look very fun!

    How are you feeling?: Blah, tired, and ready to feel better.

    Rants/Raves: Just when I felt like I was getting more energy heading into the second trimester, I’m now dealing with a bug and my two year old seems to have a bit of it too so we are going through plenty of Kleenex’s over here.

    Questions: Anyone have any recommendations for dealing with a sore throat and congestion during pregnancy. Currently trying to use a Netti Pot, cough drops, and steamy showers which help temporarily but it’s been rough.

    Also, for my first, I didn’t feel her moving until 19 weeks. I’m hoping this one will be sooner since I kinda know what to expect but we will see!

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it? I’ve never been to a concert. I’m the whatever is on the radio is what I listen to kinda person and never have gotten into any particular artist.

    Upcoming Appointments: the day before Thanksgiving 

    How are you feeling?: better…nausea is gone, specific food aversions/cravings are easing up and I’m getting some energy back. I just want more energy! lol

    Rants/Raves: I’m over the crazy dreams. I’ve had them with each pregnancy but this time it’s me dreaming about unpleasant topics/people in my life and I don’t like starting my day thinking about them. 

    Questions: Anyone else been told their uterus is tilted “back” in their body? They told me that at my first U/S and had to switch to intervaginal to get baby on the screen. And then the last time they used the Doppler, it took one of the more experienced nurses (and a lot of pressure) to find her heart beat. Both of those are new compared to my first three pregnancies. 

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it? DH and I saw Reba for my birthday a couple years ago. She’s talented but it felt more like she was going thru the motions of singing old songs than it did that she was in “entertainer” mode. But I’m glad I got to see her - it was still a fun show. 

    For whichever knottie was asking about baby measuring differently at once U/S than the other, think of it like this…your weight on your bathroom scale is generally a few pounds off the doctors office scale. So if the elective U/S is a few days different than the OB’s, I wouldn’t be too concerned. 

    @mcmanda4321 I’ve never felt my babies move before 20 weeks and usually not til almost 30 weeks. But I’ve also always had an anterior placenta so that may be why…

    Upcoming Appointments: Dec 10th at the Midwife Clinic

    How are you feeling?: Pregnancy wise, I am seeming to get energy back but I am still finding that my appetite off. Some nights I have like 5 bites of dinner and then have to take a break and come back 20-30 minutes later. On Tuesday I got my flu shot and Covid 19 booster and the last few days have been not ideal. My arms were so sore and I got really congested. Trying to concentrate on work Wednesday was rough! Was really glad to have woken up on Thursday and not be feeling those symptoms as much.

    Rants/Raves: A set of really good friends had been holding onto some of their baby gear that they were done with for us. We saw them earlier this week and they passed along a few things. We finally were able to bring everything up from our car last night and oh my goodness! I am so thankful but also now a little terrified of how much space these few things take up. They said there is more to come, but so far there has been a stroller with bassinet attachment, a pack and play, a rubberized change table pad, a diaper genie base, a baby wearing carrier, and a pumping set (with sooo many bottles!).

    Questions: Have you announced yet on social media? I think I'll be posting something very soon and I need to sort out what we're going to do. I am excited but also a little nervous in then the information is just out there and no longer in our little bubble. 

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it? I loveeeee concerts! The last one I attended was for Maggie Rogers, on Oct 22nd. I was 12w+5ds at the time and the biggest thing I was making sure to keep in mind was pacing myself. Made myself about 5 songs in sit down for a few and then repeated the cycle a second time a little later. And then before that I attended The Beaches on Aug 22nd (just realized in typing that out that both of these shows were on the 22nd, that's a fun little pattern). The show was incredible, The Beaches are actually a local band who have been playing for years and in the last year they had a single that became wildly successful and they have been on a roller coaster ride since. It was a sold out show and it was so nice to see hometown talent be surrounded in love. Also, I am 99% sure that's the day that we conceived so this show will always be extra special for me  <3

    Upcoming Appointments: Dr check up on Tuesday

    How are you feeling?:  Still nauseated, but less tired during the day. I can stomach some coffee again, so that has been helpful! Started the getting out of breath stage, so that's fun.

    Rants/Raves: Rant - it gets dark here at like 4:00 pm now, and it makes those late hours with a toddler really long! Rave - family is coming to visit next week so I think I'll get some good naps in while they spend time with my son.

    Questions: natm

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it? I honestly can't remember, it's been that long.

    How are you feeling?: still sick but the good hours are getting longer and the amount of food I can eat is slowly growing. I really hope it’s almost over. 

    Rants/Raves: I am very grateful that most of my friends and people have been in baby making land for the last 5 years. I’ve been gifted and sold so much useful loved items that I’m not going to have to buy. Wooh! 

    Questions: none this week

    GTKY: What was the last concert you went to, and how was it? Rob Thomas last year about this time. It was great we love Rob Thomas and matchbox 20.

    @sammich078 today (15weeks 3days) was the first time I felt baby #2 kick! Honestly, the only reason why I even felt it was because I’ve been so sick that I’ve spent a lot of time laying down to rest and happened to notice the first little kicks today. They definitely would have been too subtle for me to notice if I was up and running around with my toddler.
