Movement every day?

At this point, is everyone feeling movement every day? I'm 25 weeks and baby's movements have been very light. Some days I wonder if I feel anything at all. Just wondering how common this is?

Re: Movement every day?

  • Ask your doctor. Let them know you’re a little concerned and they can do an ultrasound to ease your nerves.

  • Yes, I feel movement every day, and it has been getting more consistent. Some movements are strong, others are gentle.

Do you know where the placenta is? That can make a difference. I'd probably check in with the doctor.
  • I feel movement every day, usually most in the morning and during the night. Throughout the day while I’m moving around though it can be very light or not much movement since baby gets rocked to sleep. If you’re busy all day and then sleep deeply, or if your placenta is in the way, you might feel less strong/consistent movement. But definitely check in if you feel worried!
  • Weeks 19-23 I would get really strong kicks every day, up high, and found out at my anatomy scan it was because the baby was breech and was curled in a ball. So her head, feet and hands were all basically in the same spot. Those movements were super strong. She has clearly changed positions since then because sometimes I feel really subtle bubbly feelings down low. But I'm not sure of the position of my placenta- maybe that's why theyre not strong. I don't go to the OB until the 14th but I'll ask about it then. Thanks, ladies.
  • I normally feel some kind of movement every day. The amount does change day to day and so does the strength. There are days where I can’t remember if I felt him much but when I wake up the next day, I feel him.
  • I've noticed a lot less movement on days I've been more physically active - like when I've lifted weights, compared to lighter walks or yoga. I didn't feel any movement until 23+ weeks as an ftm with an anterior placenta.
  • Almost 26 weeks today and the same thing happened to me, was feeling crazy amounts of kicking up front until a few days ago and then baby must have moved because now it’s much more flutters and shifty-feelings towards the back. My midwife checked heart tones for ages and baby is healthy and fine, but man, it does make you anxious to have that change in the normal pattern!
