Upcoming Appointments: Every Friday until I give birth
How are you feeling?: Exhausted, the breathlessness is getting to me, my body hasn't feel like my own for a couple of weeks and I pretty sure we caught a cold too. And I can't wait to give birth and meet that little human!
Rants/Raves: I've had a few dizzy spells lately. It doesn't concern my doctor too much, but it is still an inconvience as I need to lie down until the dizziness goes away and it's not that easily done if I'm not at home. Taking care of my 1 year old has also been a challenge lately. She's been having trouble to sleep through the night, so she's a bit more "cranky" during the day. She gets frustrated over silly things that usually don't bother her.
Questions: Do you have specials plans for postpartum? I personally plan to take it easy, have as little visitors as I can and mostly cocoon until after the Holidays. At that point, if we feel good, we'll go around meeting families and friends. I know that is upsetting some family members that feel its their right to see the baby as they please, but I don't really care to be honest. Getting a few weeks of pure recovery and not thinking about others really helped me after my first pregnancy.
How are you feeling?: Tired! Which, duh, third trimester, but just found out I’m anemic and have to go in for an iron transfusion. TBH, glad the extra exhaustion isn’t just in my head. Otherwise good!
Rants/Raves: Rant always, every year for changing clocks for DLS. The worst!! Can’t wait to deal with my 4 year old getting up at 5:30 AM tomorrow 🫠
Questions: We have a strong stocking tradition in my house. I’m thinking of putting some post-baby stuff for my husband’s stocking. Thinking Loop earplugs, fancy coffee beans, etc. Any ideas or things your partners have liked?
@froggerblue, my folks are coming out a couple weeks beforehand to hang out with my kiddo and my dad promised to make a bunch of freezer meals 🥰🥰 And they’re getting an Airbnb nearby to watch DD when we’re in the hospital. But otherwise, no family or visiting for at least the first two weeks — and after that, we have them one unit at a time, with the understanding that I’m not hosting!
How are you feeling?: Tired (found out in a bit anemic and taking iron supplements now), achy pelvis, sore ribs, out of breath a lot. A little lightheadedness, especially in church with all the sitting/standing/kneeling. 😅 Otherwise pretty good and getting more and more excited!
Raves: We finished painting the nursery and have finally started getting furniture and stuff in there! I love looking in every time I go past the door. 🥰
Also my birthday is coming up this month! Looking forward to a date with my husband at an international folk fair in our area. 😊
@froggerblue My mom is going to stay with us for a while, and my husband may take my 2.5yo to our family’s Christmas gathering, but I’ll most likely stay home with the baby, maybe FaceTime for a bit to see everyone and show the baby without the pressure of leaving the house or the concern of getting sick.
I don’t have specific plans for when to allow other visitors, but in general our family has been really good about helping when they come and not overstaying, so I’m not too worried about it.

@froggerblue your due date seems like it's coming up soon! But I think I keep forgetting about the whole month of November 😆

Upcoming Appointments: growth u/s this coming Thursday - I thought I could have one more week free before going to weekly appointments, but they wanted me to keep a fun conversation of "be mindful of what you eat so you don't grow this baby any bigger than your others" but also "eh, you're measuring borderline small, so let's check on the u/s anyways".
How are you feeling?: not too bad physically! I have BH every car ride, the whole time, and sleep is not great.
Rants/Raves: This has been an emotional pregnancy, we've had a lot of major life changes in the past year, and more coming up soon on top of a baby, plus there was some extended family stuff going on. So it's really, really busy to the point that the impending birth of our baby almost seems like an afterthought, which hurts, but it's also been hard to get excited. Plus with the family loss and other things, it's felt more isolating than I expected - even today for a family thing we had to tiptoe around my giant belly to preserve someone else's feelings. (Which I think is both legitimate, but also frustrating as this individual has carelessly stomped on my feelings many times).
MOSTLY I had an awful night of sleep last night and whenever I have gotten too tired during this pregnancy I easily just spiral into thinking about those things and feeling more and more down.... but then I did get a nap after the family event and now I can cope again!
Questions:
For the holidays... my ILs are coming about a week before Christmas and staying for 2 weeks so they'll be here, most likely, to watch our other kids while DH and I go to the hospital. I figure if the long visit drives me nuts then I'll just tolerate being in the hospital better 😆 (I did a birth center with my last 2, so went home right away). My parents are going to come visit a little later, they decided to give us a week between visitors. Both our moms are pretty good helpers, rather than people I need to entertain, so I'm thankful they are coming, especially since I'm not sure what DH's leave is going to look like this time. But basically my holiday plans are just birthing plans!
Upcoming Appointments: 11/5 for ROB and 11/7 for our weekly biophysical profile ultrasound
How are you feeling?: Large, over being pregnant 😅 typical aches and pains in my hips and back. I've been going between feeling extremely famished and nauseous 🤢 but my belly has dropped. My birthday is 11/19 and I'm low-key hoping that she comes before or on it
Rants/Raves: I bought an exercise ball and I LOVE sitting on it a couple times a day if possible. It has really helped relieve the pains I mentioned before. I can definitely feel my pelvis opening up. Also, my doula made me some NORA tea (nettle leaf, oat straw, raspberry leaf and alfalfa leaf) it tastes great and I've noticed more intense Braxton Hicks contractions after I drink it. Hopefully it helps jumpstart labor in the next week or two 🤞🏾
Questions: When will labor start!?? 😵💫 I'm ready to meet my baby and start the fourth trimester 💕
