Natural birth v Caesarean birth risk

Maternal death – 1 in 4200 women after caesarean birth compared with 1 in 25 000 women after vaginal birth.

If a women is going through a very traumatic natural birthing process and the last resort to keep baby and mother safe is to perform a caesarean, and the mother sadly passes away. Is this death recorded as a natural birth death or a caesarean death?

I want to know if the above figures are true or warped.

    Where are you getting those numbers? If they are from an article or something, it should say if it includes emergency c-sections (which your example would be) or if it is just planned c-sections.
