How are things going? Any questions?: FET version 2.0 is officially underway! Had my initial cycle visit this morning and didn't get a lot of details from them other than that I'm cleared to proceed. Letrozole and baby aspirin starts tonight, then low-dose Follistim kicks in starting Thursday. They won't officially give me my transfer date until 7 days out (when we trigger) but I'm definitely eyeing that last week of October trying to figure out how it's gonna play out with my work schedule.

R/R: Speaking of work, my department has been attempting to implement a training program since early September, and it just kept getting delayed by things (okay, people) beyond our control. But of course, OF COURSE, the training is happening NOW so you can find me begging my clinic for those 7:00am appointment slots and then high-tailing it over to work to teach morning classes. On one hand, super annoyed that it's happening now and adding stress and craziness while I'm supposed to be over here all zen. On the other hand, the silver lining of being so busy at work is that I don't have down time to overthink or second guess how I'm feeling about this cycle--which is a gift in its own way!

    Sad rant, TW loss

I thought I was managing ok but just found out a neighbor friend is pregnant and my miscarriage this year would have been born this month and it was all too much for me. Apparently the grief just keeps popping up on occasion. Told spouse and he hugged me and said get over it. 🤦 Not helpful.
  • @ferret22 I missed this last week, but I'm so sorry to hear all you've been going through. My acupuncturist reminds me all the time how important it is to allow yourself to feeling your feelings and not just shove them down. What you're feeling is 100% valid, and I hope you're finding ways to acknowledge the hurt and sadness and grief when it pops up.

    TW: loss
In my experience infertility in general but especially miscarriage has be so isolating, especially when I feel like I can't share those feelings with friends who are pregnant or new moms because I'd somehow be casting a shadow over their happiness... I hate that your spouse wasn't more supportive. We're always here for you, but I hope you also have people in your corner who you can be open and vent with IRL <3
