Maternity Photos

Anyone do them already or planning to have them done?
Anyone going the DIY route?
Would love to hear about cool locations, props, outfits and poses. 

And please feel free to share pics/stories about how yours came out!

    @MrsCaliRN, one of my best friends is a family photographer, so she did them for us during my last pregnancy when we were hanging out. There was a snowy park nearby where we were staying and went with my pup & partner. 

    Some of my favorite pics were of us walking, or my dog interacting. We didn’t do a lot of traditional poses. Also was wearing jeans and a long cardigan, with a coat and hat in some photos. If I was doing it again, I would not wear any black — really deemphasizes the bump. 

    This was at 33 weeks, lol. I never really got much bigger.

    I just started thinking about this! I've never done a real maternity shoot, but I am a hobbyist photographer so I did just a real simple, almost like a silhouette for my last two pregnancies in front of our sliding door that had a sheer curtain. And then I also did my own newborn photos. 

    I'm debating this time hiring an actual professional for newborn photos though. My other two turned out fine, definitely not award winning level by any means, but fine. But it's so much work, physically demanding, and the post processing work is much more involved than normal portraits too. So I'm debating on if I hire it out so I can just recover instead - will I actually be able to let it go, or will I still be tempted to do some myself also??

    Decided to just DIY it on our babymoon in Maui. All on my iPhone just played with the filters and such. Love them! Only hard part was getting good ones of the hubby and I alone since there was no one to give direction or fix minor details. Still, no regrets! Wishing everyone the best with theirs, and that you at least document the moment 🤗
