Hospital bag

I am kinda confused. I read about what to bring in your hospital bag and I see adult diapers, large pads, post partum underwear… which one do I really need? Can I just wear post partum
underwear and put a pad in it? Or is it better to actually wear a adult diaper the first few days post partum?

    Your hospital should be providing what you’ll need for the time you’re there. But it’s your choice if you want to bring your own. I don’t bring anything and save my stuff for at home. The reason people wear a diaper is because you bleed a lot the first few days and it can be more convenient than having to deal with pads. But it’s not necessary.

    When you're bleeding a lot in the beginning adult diapers + a pad are useful. I got these Always adult diapers on Amazon and they're comfortable, and cheaper than like the Frida ones.

    My best friend had a baby girl last year and told me to buy disposable underwear. They were a game changer. No one tells you that you will bleed for a couple of weeks, regardless of if you have a vaginal birth or a c-section & the first few days will be very heavy. It's better to have disposable underwear and line those with pads (to save $) than having to stress about messing up underwear. Depend silhouette and always pads are what I'm going with and you can get them at a good rate on Amazon.
