Coping with nausea

How are you all coping with the nausea?

Mine started full force a few days ago and I don’t remember it being this bad the last time I was pregnant. I only want really bland foods (bagels, toast, applesauce, pasta) and will sometimes sip a ginger ale but I know those have a ton of sugar.

any other tips? Thanks!

Re: Coping with nausea

  • My desk at work is currently full of soda crackers and sour candies. I also just started diclectin (an antihistamine and B6) - I do find the B6 really helps in the morning.

  • I started feeling super nauseous around 8 weeks and have had several days of being stuck on the couch or in bed. Thankfully I work from home and can adjust my work schedule accordingly, otherwise I don't know how I'd get through this. My doctor gave me a prescription for Ondansetron, which seemed to help a lot.
  • Dicletin at 8, 2, and 10, and 25mg of gravol in addition a half hour before lunch and supper. Thankfully so far this is working really really well!
  • I second the sour candies! So so helpful.
  • Trader Joe’s has ginger chew candies near check out. I find sucking on them helps. Also peppermint or ginger tea has been good.
  • I started taking unisom and B6 and that drastically helped mine! It will get better I promise!
