Upcoming Appointments: 32 wk US on Friday, Prenatal Classes Sat + Sun and OB on Monday!
How are you feeling?: exhausted. The fatigue is setting back in and I want to literally rot on the couch all day. Additional symptoms: insomnia, heartburn, hip pain, more heartburn, back pain and just the weight is scaring me because I know he's only getting bigger.
Rants/Raves: I am ready for baby! I have washed the things, and put away the things. I've been packing our bags for the hospital. I had a meltdown this past Sunday because we weren't ready and I had this panic that he was going to come that night. He didn't, but I got 4 loads of his laundry done! I honestly just want to skip October and jump straight to November please.
Upcoming Appointments: 10/10 and 10/11 for a sizing US and an OB check in. After that I’m going every week to the OB.
How are you feeling?: So very tired and my back and hips hurt almost all the time. Sitting hurts, standing hurts, sleeping hurts. But also I’m very excited. I just was the next 7 weeks to fly by so I can meet my little man.
Rants: Well I ranted above, but as an additional odd rant, this trimester’s hormones have me stinking of BO. I shower/bathe morning and night and now use whole body deodorant and my whole torso still smells like sweaty feet at the end of the day.
Rave: I went shoe shopping and found some clearance sneakers for $20 a pair in an 11 wide so I got 2 colors and have 2 pairs of shoes that fit! I was getting desperate on the shoe front and was wearing my husband’s crocs.
How are you feeling?: Actually pretty good. I've been fighting constipation, and occasionally wake up and can't get comfortable for a while, but otherwise, I've found I still have lots of energy to get many things done and feel great. I do have at least a 1 hour nap each day if I can't sleep in. Honestly, I've had it quite easy this whole pregnancy and I can't complain.
Rants/Raves: I'm kind of hoping baby comes early because my husband and I live about 5 hours from our families and I want to be able to travel for Christmas. Except it sucks to think of being away from home with a newborn, so maybe I won't want to travel even if she comes early. I also don't want the stress of having everyone at our house for Christmas. I'm feeling very indecisive about all this, and I guess I just need to take what comes and figure out how I'm feeling after baby arrives and decide then. Also, I'm dreading driving in winter weather with a newborn! I live close to Ottawa, Ontario so the winters are generally cold, icy, and of course, blizzardy. I'm scared of ending up in the ditch or having an accident. Might need someone to drive with me for the first while lol.
@mamahen521 I have recently become a crocs person and they have been the only shoes I’ve worn this pregnancy. I had a memorial this past weekend and had to go shoe shopping for something appropriate and was shocked to find 10s tight on me! I feel you. lol.
Also, I had an issue with body odor when I first got pregnant. I was reacting to my deodorant. I don’t know if they changed the formula but I was going nuts showering and what not. I thought I smelled like period blood. Nobody else said I smelled tho. 🤷🏼♀️
Ultimately changing to old spice aluminum free (my docs recommendation) made all the difference and I smelled normal again. Although that was around the time I was moving into the 2nd tri so maybe my hormones levelled out too.
Upcoming Appointments: regular midwife appt next Thursday
How are you feeling?: Pregnancy-wise I’m actually okay. Huge (I weigh the same now as I did at 40 weeks last time 😬), but no real aches and pains. My biggest annoyance is how hard it is to breathe and how slowly I walk. Teaching my kids to pick up whatever they drop on the floor because I can’t pick it up anymore, ha.
Rant: My son made it through two weeks of kinder before bringing home a cold. And now his sister and I have it too. I have no time to rest and I’m caring for two sick kids solo after work while sick and heavily pregnant. This is hands down the most exhausted I’ve ever been. On top of that, my daughter is going through the 18 month sleep regression AND a coworker is on unexpected leave so I’m covering her work. When I come home from work I feel like I just completed a marathon and then I have to run another one. All I want is sleep.
Rave: I’ll get to sleep tomorrow! I don’t work Fridays and my husband will get up and deal with the kids. I’m looking forward to it like it’s Christmas.

@mitchip crocs are the best! I pretty much live in mine too, they just aren’t always the best with my cute maternity dresses I’ve been wearing to work 😂 Thanks for the deodorant suggestion. I may have to try that. I got an aluminum free whole body one and it doesn’t seem to be doing much of anything for me. I know my sense of smell is still over the top, so probably no one else thinks I smell like feet, but I sure don’t want to smell it.
Upcoming Appointments: Had one appt today and had a NST. Last week, the two kept moving non stop as soon as nurse found a heartbeat and strapped us in; the kids would both flip and she would have to relocate- the Dr. came in and was like, obviously they are moving and they don’t seem stressed so we are good here. Today was much earlier in the day, and they were not moving. I wanted some kind of movement so we didn’t have to do this longer than need be (I had RSV and Dtap vaccine appt within hour). If you are still with me here- ha here is where I embarrass myself. (Backstory these office room walls are thin and I can hear the other Dr. and patient talking...). This is first appt DH missed and I was all strapped up and pantless and phone was across the room in my jacket pocket under my pants. Kids not moving- I needed to help things along. I was talking to them and playing with the little bit of room I had to poke/tickle em... Nothing. I access my phone with my watch and hit up Spotify. It was on the DJ mode- perfect so I can skip anything that may pop up inappropriate wise since thin walls and all. Well I am jamming and singing (not overly loud) but we are starting to move and feel ourselves to some late 90s early 2000s. Burn by Usher got somebody’s heart up from 130 to 180 that machine was beeping so much I was like Lil Dude cool your jets or we’ll have to skip it. Next up was EnVouge and well if you know, you know. The girl apparently starts to move all over the place with this one and poof the doctor comes in. I immediately turn off the music with my watch. She looks over everything and is like looks great. So we are in the hallway one nurse warns me; “if kids like certain music while in your belly that will be there go to songs when they are out. Good choices.” (Egg on my face). At check out another person who does office stuff so absolutely no way she heard me singing- told me I had good taste. I immediately look at my clothes which are workout clothes so I look back at her confused look on my face. She goes with music. Geeze Louise. I love my office and all the folks in there but man called out. I have an appt next week for US and NST that DH can’t make because Dr. office had to swap days and he getting a surprise work shower on appt day- so may ask my Mom to come along since US.
How are you feeling? Boy baby dropped a little so there was pelvic pressure. Dr. Said she could feel him but everything closed up still. I am EXHAUSTED and nightly heartburn and up flipping all night trying to get comfortable. But for carrying twins at 33+2 it’s been relatively easy.
Rants/Raves: I am getting very nervous about highly likely needing a c-section. We are flipping non stop by they are traverse and breech every appt (they always swapping roles and sides/positions). Dr. Super cool and told me we can wait till show time; but If a chance of c-section high for one baby I really don’t want to heal both ways. I am so EXCITED I am officially done with all my shower thank yous from like 5 weeks ago and my work shower . I told the fella I am leaving the thank yous out in case he needs any but I won’t be writing any for his co-workers. (I did ask who a lady was who bought something this week from registry was I didn’t recognize her name- and he was like that is a coworker. So I may have ruined his surprise). Ooops.
Upcoming Appointments: NST+ OB every beginning of the week, ultrasound/growth check with fetal maternal doc end of each week, 4th trimester class coming up on Tuesday.
How are you feeling?: tired, more emotional, nervous and definitely more stinky. I saw someone else comment on the BO and I’m not sure if it’s the extra sensitive nose or hormones or both but woooo boy, it’s a thing. Heartburn and the late night toss/turns + hip and back pain are also all super real.
Rants/Raves: Rant - I am starting to get worried that we don’t have enough set up. A series of shit hit the fan last week (car breakdown, travel, extra long work days) and our nursery still isn’t set up. I know the baby will be in our room at first but man I’d love to have one less thing to worry about once she arrives. I feel like we are getting too close for comfort and will be scrambling. I’m waiting for my husband to paint it bc fumes, and that’s happening on Tuesday so hopefully by the end of this week everything will be done. Being a type 1 diabetic mom with a thyroid condition is meaning a lot of extra monitoring and the possibility of induction 2-3 weeks early 😬, but I’m hoping my little gal can stay in there closer to term so I have everything ready for her! Last rant - super over in-laws and other well meaning folks telling me they are surprised at how big I am. Maybe I’m being extra sensitive but, yknow, there’s a little human being formed in there, maybe not the time to comment on how someone looks other than awesome.
Raves - She moves a lot and it’s super duper cool to see and feel. I’m very excited to meet her 💕💕💕
Upcoming Appointments: I just had an appointment on Thursday my next one is three weeks after that, so in 2 1/2 weeks.
Everything was fine at my appointment, baby girl has turned head down and has been head down for a week. Which I'm really happy about because she was flipping every 2/3 days for the two weeks before that. I've been doing lots of belly mapping to monitor where she is and using the side lying resting position to try and help by putting her back in a good position.
In my last pregnancy I had excess fluid and a transverse lie. Which meant that I ended up being hospitalised at 39w for 10 days before baby managed to get his head engaged so I could go home. So understandably I'm keen to get and keep baby girl in a good position. With it being my third pregnancy and there's a good chance I might have excess fluid again my issue is that she still has a lot of room.
Though I was looking at my growth chart for this and my last pregnancy. Last time I only have measurements from 34 weeks onwards (🤷♀️ covid) but if my growth stays in line as it has been this time I'll be measuring several cm smaller than last time. I'll have to wait until my next appointment but I'm hopeful that I can avoid the excess fluid this time. 🤞
How are you feeling?: Feeling pretty good, hip pain off and on but not much to complain about. For me it still feels a long way off. My previous two were born 12 and 11 days over due so in my mind baby girl probably won't arrive until it's nearly December or even in December. She could well surprise me though, it would definitely be a shock. 😅
Rants/Raves: Since we're all talking about crocks, I got some Archies slides and I've been loving them.
Also the baby room is nearly finished. I just need to order a blind and put it up. I decided on a woodland theme and I put up some Flower Faries inspired wall decals earlier. It's looking really cute and the theme works really well with the slopey ceiling and beams in the room it just adds to the fairytale vibe.
Hey y’all! Been super-MIA on this app but excited to see everyone’s check-ins.
I’m 31w5d, baby boy, 4th time mom. Been feeling super out of breath lately, constipated, heartburn like crazy, and more emotional than usual. Pelvis feels like it’s completely separated. Loving all the people commenting on my bump and congratulating me. I carried small with my last 3 babies (I’m on the taller side at 5’9’’) so just the fact that people have NOTICED I’m pregnant and are confident enough to engage me about it since around 25 weeks is awesome.
Next appt is in a week, regular heartbeat and belly check. Husband and I just decided that this will be our last baby. Gonna get Mirena inserted right after delivery then husband will get a vasectomy a few months later. Kind of sad about it but proud that I’m making responsible decisions LOL
Looking forward to my bday/baby moon trip to Maui with the family next week. Thinking about having maternity photos taken when we’re there. We’ll see.
