11m old concerns

Hello everyone. I’m a FTM to a beautiful baby boy. He will be 12 months in 2 weeks. I don’t have much experience with babies but unfortunately I’ve googled lots of things regarding my child. Here are my concerns:

- doesn’t make eye contact very often ( if I’m feeding him in his high chair he’ll look around or past me, same with nursing- but he’ll look if I’m singing to him or farther away when I talk to him)

- doesn’t involve me in play (doesn’t does me toys, hand me toys, for look to see my reaction)

-delayed gross motor- just learning to crawl now, can’t cruise, cant sit back down from standing

- doesn’t babble frequently

-doesn’t smile/laugh that often (have to work for it)

-doesn’t point

-doesn’t mimic facial expressions

Here are some things he does do:

- responds to name (will sometimes ignore me if he’s playing out of I’m sitting right next to him )

-can pull to stand in crib and play pen

-good receptive language (looks at person when asked “where is ____”

-imitates gestures from time to time (waving,clapping, blowing kisses—not consistently)

*he also sleeps horribly (naps have to be contact naps to last long) and nighttime has become so bad too as of late (he would have 1 wake up now has 2/3 and takes an hour to fall asleep for bed)

Im very worried about him not initiating eye contact or showing or giving me things. I feel like that’s a huge piece in social communication that he’s behind in.

Any experiences or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
