  • DD / Weeks + Days: 13+4

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Baby is the size of a (an): lemon

    Team blue/pink/green: blue!

    Upcoming Appointments: October 8

How are you feeling?: Like myself!  The mystical 2nd trimester is coming!  No more constipation, the nausea and fatigue are now occasional instead of constant, the aversions are even settling down!  I still don't think I can handle raw chicken though...

Rants/Raves: Less of a rant, and more of a sad thing.  My cousin died over the weekend.  Nobody knows what happened.  I'm worried for my aunt, who is barely holding it together.  I'd go visit but she's an hour away, I get carsick and DH understandably is worried about gas, since she has other family closer by.

Questions: My doctor is sending me for yet more bloodwork: another CMP and STD panel.  Is this a normal thing to do every trimester?  I only remember having to do it once last time.

GTKY: Now that many of us are out of the horrors of trimester 1, what's your favorite cuisine?
I could happily live the rest of my days on Mexican.  Or Italian.

DD / Weeks + Days: 14 weeks! DD is March 10

    FTM/STM/TTM+: first timer

Baby is the size of a (an): peach

Team blue/pink/green: health baby, cannot wait to know

Upcoming Appointments: 9/20, pre trip ultrasound. I feel like I'm getting a freebie because I wouldn't normally get one at this time. I'm going to bring my mom

How are you feeling?: Energy is back, thrilled to have hit the second trimester. Still dizzy, the room was spinning like I was too drunk last night. Trying to get back into a workout routine. My back is aching and so is one of my knees but I'll chalk that up to lack of movement.

Rants/Raves: Still waiting on NIPT results from 8/28, I just want to know our gender. Also still haven't told work. I have a call with a maternity leave consultant on Friday because I haven't been at my job 1 year so I don't qualify for their policy.

Questions: Starting to think about building a registry, where should I register?

GTKY: Now that many of us are out of the horrors of trimester 1, what's your favorite cuisine?
Italian or Thai to eat out

    DD / Weeks + Days: 15+1

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Baby is the size of a (an): Orange 🍊 which is what my other app said the size was last week but lets go with it.

    Team blue/pink/green: pink!

Upcoming Appointments: September 17th! Just my 16 week check in.

How are you feeling?: good! But had some terrible dizziness the last few days.

Rants/Raves: finally told our families the news! So nice to have everyone know, now I just have to tell work. Our team has had a baby boom the last 2 years (out of 30 people we’ve had 10 babies!) and our last person out on leave came back this week so thinking about giving them another week before I break the news haha. I do love my mother in law but she’s the cause of my rant this week….after telling them the news they were excited and happy and then immediately told me that I “cannot have another terribly long labor” like the first time🙄 like I enjoyed that!?! She already wants me to ask my doctor about inducing early or scheduling a c-section!!! For no reason other than me laboring forever - both me and baby were fine! Only 25 more weeks of that😅

Questions: anyone else sleeping terribly? Besides the dizziness and getting up to pee, I seem to wake up every morning around 3 or 4 and can’t fall back asleep!

GTKY: Now that many of us are out of the horrors of trimester 1, what's your favorite cuisine? Definitely Italian! But Italian from Croatia lol. I absolutely loved the food there and was actually disappointed when we went to Italy a couple years later and had just okay Italian food!

@fininevermore, I don’t remember having to do much blood work after the nipt! Even the nurse said I won’t have to give this much blood again at that appointment! Did they give a reason?

@eclaire90, last time I did target and Amazon for the free welcome bags and then I combined them onto my babylist registry! I liked babylist (there were a few glitches) because you can add ANY item from ANY store! Makes it so much easier when the baby shower comes around. I only registered at target and Amazon but you can register at any store (add items to that registry) and then add it to your babylist one. I know some places have perks, target and Amazon give you a coupon for a percentage off everything left on your registry like a month or two before your due date which was soooo nice.

Baby is the size of a (an): lemon

    Team blue/pink/green: Green

Upcoming Appointments: US with MFM 9/16 because I'm old and have multiple losses

How are you feeling?: still feeling bleh physically

Rants/Raves: I think my slow moving GI system is causing my nausea to be worse. It's a little cyclical and even eating all the fiber rich foods isn't speeding things up.

Questions: what's new in the baby products world? My older 2 will be 6M and 4F so we have the basics but am out of the loop on new stuff

@eclaire90 another vote for target and amazon.

@paigemm23 major eyeroll to your MIL, so sorry *your* long labor was hard for her.

@fininevermore I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard not to be able to just up and go when you want to support family.

My other BMBs did a products spotlight thread for big ticket items to discuss pros/cons. Are we at that point already?!?
  • @eclaire90 Yet another vote for Target and Amazon!
@paigemm23 Really?! I’m too flabbergasted for even an eyeroll. Does she know the second is usually much faster than the first?
@ksd20 I vote for waiting a couple weeks, till the last of us are out of trimester 1.
  • DD / Weeks + Days: March 7; 14 w, 4 d

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Baby is the size of a (an): Beet

    Team blue/pink/green: Blur

    Upcoming Appointments: Labs tomorrow

How are you feeling?: still exhausted, which is why they’re doing some extra labs, but the nausea seems to be slowing down.

Rants/Raves: Raves: We told the OB today we decided on the scheduled c-section, so we’ve narrowed down the due date to 2/28 or 3/3 as they schedule them at 39 weeks. Exciting to feel like things are coming together. Rants: My husband is having to take a bunch of his vacation time for school breaks and so will really only have a couple of days left when the baby comes, which sucks.

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: Now that many of us are out of the horrors of trimester 1, what's your favorite cuisine? Italian! Although, pasta still doesn’t sound appetizing 😢 I had pickles and ice cream for dinner, which I thought was a such a pregnancy cliche, but god it hit the spot.
  • @eclaire90 Target and Amazon for the completion discounts and freebies. Also, you can add stuff to your Amazon registry post baby and still get the completion discount for 60 or 90 days
@@ksd20 I think it’s ok to wait a little longer.
@p@paigemm23 wow! I really hope that came from a place of being worried about you and not because she’s impatient!
  • @eclaire90 congratulations on baby boy!! 🦋

we have up to one more week to wait 😭 but so happy you are having a healthy bean!
