Do you have any projects your working on before baby comes? They could be craft projects, decorating, DIY, creating a space for the baby, organising and decluttering.
So far I've made a bonnet for baby girl. I've got a bunch of wool left over from other projects all the same cashmere silk blend in different colours. Unfortunately they've discontinued the line so I've been looking for smaller projects to use it up.
I used excel to design the fair Isle pattern and followed a simple pattern for the rest.
I'm pretty pleased with how it's come out. I've also got some raspberry coloured wool to make a knitted romper. I've also got a muted peach to make a cardigan and hat for baby's going home outfit. Both in 100% Marino super soft wool.
Next week I'm going to make a start on decorating the baby's room. The walls and round the window need some TLC because our house is old. We also have dormer bedrooms and a lot of the room is really in the eaves. Which is fine apart from the previous owner painted what was already a small dark room, navy blue. I'll post some progress pick when I get started.
So far I made my little pumpkin an outfit and I plan to crochet a blanket. My husband is painting a forest mural on the nursery wall and I’m also working on making a mobile. First I need to finish the blanket I’m working on for a friend who just had her first 2 months early. I thought I had a while longer to work on that one, but now I’m trying to finish it up before he is out of NICU and home.
I've finishes painting the babies room. I'm planning on a woodland theme. I'm going to get some stick on wall decals and a few other bits for the room.
I'm really pleased with the finished result. I should have taken a before picture. The walls were navy blue and took 5 coats of paint to cover. The window needed a lot of work because the was an old curtain pelmet that was partly covering the window that I pried off.
DS2 enjoyed helping me put together the cits. I've got all the fabric things to wash but it feels good to be a step closer to being ready for baby.

Once these are done I'm going to move on to little hats for him since he'll be a winter baby.
