I know a lot of stuff gets said in the weekly check in thread but for random stuff let’s try a collect all. Then we can see if we like randoms posted as separate threads or all together.
My sciatica is starting to act up. It’s been pretty bad with both my previous pregnancy’s but i was hoping this time id have no issues since much more active. I was just thinking and appreciating that im in the fun part of pregnancy where im not throwing up but i can still move and function normally. Lets hope this is a one time thing and not my future for the next 17weeks😭
Baby is already kicking hard and I'm only 22 weeks. I'm a little worried about as they continue to get bigger. According to last weeks u/s they are transverse so that probably contributes? Also pregnancy amnesia must be a thing, I know its been 8 years since I was pregnant last time but I literally can't remember anything....
@fk18 I had mine on the 23rd. He was breech (butt down) so they will have to do another limited Anatomy scan on 9/20 to look at his spine and his heart. Everything else looked good though and he is measuring a week ahead now.
@fk18 I had mine last week and I was also nervous going into it! It was SO cool though. Thankfully everything is fine, but at one point they spent a while looking at the heart so I started worrying something was wrong (and of course the u/s tech can’t tell you in the moment) - but at the same time I was so blown away by the fact that a WHOLE HEART developed INSIDE ME and that made me feel like whatever might be wrong, we could deal with it. Biology really is incredible. (Nothing was wrong, he was just wiggly!)
@fk18 Mine was last week as well. I don't think I'll ever not be nervous that something is wrong when going into an appointment haha but thankfully everything looked good. I agree with all that others have said, the level of detail that you are able to see is incredible!! For us it was also nice knowing who was where and how they were positioned. Now when one (or both!) of the babies move, I can generally know who it is, which is so special.
So crazy that the u/s tech cant tell you anything. That sounds so nerve wracking. Here its the midwives who do the u/s so they talk us through what they’re seeing in real time.
Well, the u/s tech can tell you what they’re seeing, as in, that’s the femur, that’s the kidney, that’s the blood flow through the heart - but they aren’t allowed to diagnose anything, so they won’t tell you if something looks good or bad. But the doctor came in right afterwards after reviewing the scans and talked to us, so if there were anything wrong we would have learned it right away.
this is going to sounds weird but for those of you who have more children, how does your heart do it? I feel like my first born is literally my heart walking outside my body, I don't know how I will feel with this second one?
hiiii! I’m 22 weeks and 4 days and I’ve been experiencing terrible heartburn already I can’t imagine it getting worse as the weeks go on 🫠 but her kicks are gettin stronger and she loveessss dancing on my bladder lol
