This week, my wife confirmed her pregnancy. Can you please update me on the diet? What to eat What not to eat

Congratulations on the exciting news! Here are some key dietary guidelines to support your wife's pregnancy.
Eat a balanced diet rich in:
- Fruits and vegetables - Provide essential vitamins, minerals, and fiber
- Whole grains - For complex carbs, fiber, and nutrients
- Lean proteins - Such as chicken, fish, eggs, and legumes
- Dairy products - For calcium and vitamin D
Avoid or limit:
- Raw fish/sushi - Risk of foodborne illness
- Unpasteurized dairy - May contain harmful bacteria
- Deli meats - Potential for listeria contamination
- Alcohol and caffeine - Can negatively impact fatal development
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Prenatal vitamins are also recommended to fill any nutritional gaps.
Let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for this exciting new chapter!
