    Team blue/pink/green: blue + ?

    Upcoming Appointments: Anatomy scan Thursday!!

How are you feeling?: Feeling more easily fatigued. Love feeling the babies move!! Also feel huge already and can't believe we're still just under halfway through--crazy!

Rants/Raves: Not really a rant or a rave, but I'm resigning myself to the very real possibility that these babies could come in December, and also literally on Christmas. 🙃 My dr says to expect twin delivery at 37/38 weeks. for me, 37 weeks is Dec 30, and I've heard from plenty of twin moms that the babies came right around there, if not slightly earlier. Hoping they stay in and cook longer than that, for their own development's sake, as well as some space from the holiday haha, but what happens, happens.

    Questions: natm

GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather? We don't get too much "real seasons" here in California, but I love the weather coming up in Oct/Nov, after the heat wears off a bit and we have chill mornings but warm (but not too hot) afternoons. We usually get some great sunsets around that time as well. I'm also looking forward to wearing sweaters/sweatshirts/leggings for the remainder of this pregnancy haha.

Upcoming Appointments: Anatomy scan this Friday, finally!

How are you feeling?: The iron supplement I was first put on was terrible.  I was fine the first 4 days but day 5 and 6 I felt like crap.  I was so miserable so I stopped taking it and called the doctor to have it switched.  There was a bit of a issue with getting the new iron supplement so today is day 1 of taking it.  Fingers crossed that it is better than the last one.

Also, I can't believe I'm at the half way point.  I feel like I just found out.  When you're in the first trimester, it feels sooo long but now that I'm here I'm baffled at where the time went.  I feel like part of it is that my energy is mostly back to normal.  When I had no energy and still had bad morning sickness, it felt like the days we never going to end.

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather?  I prefer the cold (crazy I moved to AZ, right!? lol).  As far as the season goes, I love fall weather.  But weather in general I love a really good rainy day.  Thunder storms are good too but just an all day rain storm is my favorite.  I always joke that it's because I was born in April (in NJ) so it would always rain on my birthday and/or on the day of my birthday party so I had to learn to love it but I'm not really sure where it came from.
  • @kendyb77 My first was a week early so if this one follow suit, he will be born in December.  Around the 27th.  I would like him to be born closer to his due date but...we will also have met our deductible for this year so financially it would be better if he came early.

How are you feeling?: Sleeping has gotten harder. My hands fall asleep and my hips ache. But overall I feel a bit better otherwise.

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather? When the sun is shining! Haha. Although I could do without the dust, I like the perfect warm days ahead. We have mostly dry heat and our elevation keeps it from getting too hot, so around 80-85 with a gentle breeze sounds perfect to me. Also, definitely prefer dress weather

How are you feeling?: really great! This is so far the best pregnancy I’ve had and I’m so thankful! I’m also in the fun part of pregnancy where I’m not sick and exhausted all the time and I’m not huge and achy yet.

Rants/Raves: my husband has vacation this week and i love having him home. Actually getting stuff done that i otherwise don’t get done when I’m sole caregiver of both girls.

i love everything except never-ending winter (looking at you northern norway👀😂) i like snow but we live on the coast where it’s super unstable weather and windy so on top of all the wind we get lots of ice😵‍💫 i do like each season when it comes though. Each has its charm!

Also apologies for being so MIA lately. Life has been zooming by and all of a sudden i realize another week has gone by without logging on here.

Upcoming Appointments: Sept 4 is my anatomy scan :)

How are you feeling?: Great! Just got over a GI bug that took about a week to fully make its way thru me. The past two weekends were ROUGH. Thankful that seems to be done with…

Rants/Raves: Rave is that I’m visiting my brother, who lives out of state, this weekend — 1st time seeing him since I got pregnant. Rant is it’s still tough, even after a few months, to accept not being able to do things at 100%. Getting that bug just when I started to feel the best I had in months was hard both physically and emotionally.

Questions: For the non-first time moms — did you tour your hospital/birthing center before your birth? Did you find it helpful?

GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather? I love fall and spring. Cool mornings and warm afternoons. Love having some options with how to dress.
  • @killerclaudia my doctor only uses one hospital so I didn't really have a choice.  I did have to go in twice a few days before my daughter was born for some tests that my doctor's office couldn't do.  That was nice because the first time I was able to figure out where to go and what the check-in procedure was like and the 2nd time I ended up getting admitted and had my baby the next day.  I'm not usually one to stress but I'm not sure how I would have been if I didn't know where to go while in active labor.
  • @kmtz89 we can change the size comparison to animals???? How?!
  • @strongishmom I don't know about here but on the What to Expect app they have all different categories.  So right now my baby is as big as:
    Fruit - a sweet potato
Disney Baby Milestones - Ariel's Dinglehopper
Movie and TV Props - "World's Best Boss" coffee cup from The Office
    '80s and '90s Nostalgia - a Beanie Baby
    Sports - a small kettlebell
    Snacks - a pretzel rod

How are you feeling?: good finally!! But still pretty low energy and going to bed super early
Rants/Raves: I am really looking forward to feeling baby move! There have been a couple times that I thought I might be feeling flutters, but I'm not so sure that's truly what I felt so...

Questions: for anyone who has felt flutters or more, when did you first feel it?

GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather? I absolutely love fall weather where I live. Really looking forward to 50° lows, 75° highs, and that crisp fall breeze in the morning (plus apple cider donuts)

How are you feeling?:  better this week! My endurance during exercise has been down, but I can stay up a little later at night which is nice

    Rants/Raves: NATM

Questions: how’s everyone feeling about your weight gain progression? I’m feeling a little behind (about 7 lbs) but hoping it picks up in the second half of pregnancy. I’ll ask my OB about it this week, too.

Summer in WA is gorgeous! The sky and all our bodies of water are a crisp blue and we also have lots of green and lush from the rain we get all year. It also doesn’t get too hot! My ideal is about 80F.

How are you feeling?: pretty good, minus the afternoon fatigue of adjusting to being back at work. I also need to get used to the baby’s nighttime dance parties, because I keep waking up to her wiggling away.

    Rants/Raves:

My coworker is 7 weeks ahead of me with her pregnancy. It’s been so fun having someone around at work who gets it and we can commiserate and laugh about symptoms or our never ending stash of snacks in our work bags.

Since @kmtz89 mentioned last week that they are moving out of cold season in Tanzania,
GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather?

We are getting ready to start the absolute best part of the year here in Michigan! There is nothing better than Fall in this state! The weather is beautiful with most days running lows and highs of 50s/70s with a light breeze and sunny weather. The trees all change to their fall colors, the apple orchards and cider mills all open, and there are events everywhere from Harvest Festivals, to farmer’s markets, street fairs, the Ren Fest, and tons of Halloween themed activities!

  • @jaclyn-ak I didn't feel my first move until after my anatomy scan which was week 20.  I want to say it was about a week or 2 later.  I mentions somewhere else that her placenta was in the front so it made it harder to feel her in the beginning.  This one I started to feel around week 13 but it wasn't a lot.  It was like maybe once a week until about 2 weeks ago (~18 weeks).  Now I'm starting to feel him everyday and multiple times a day.  They should tell you where your placenta is during your anatomy scan.

@fk18 I know I lost weight during my first trimester.  Not enough for concern though.  But I have noticed the last 2 weeks I have been able to eat more so hopefully I'm back on track.  I have an appointment Friday so I should find out.  I haven't been tracking my weight at home.

Rants/Raves: I've started feeling little man move and kick! The hubby has also felt a few of his kicks and it's so magical

Questions: Anyone have some great couples & pregnancy Halloween costumes?

GTKY: Favorite weather: for the summer I love a cold rainy day. For my favorite season I'd definitely have to say fall. I love fall, the bright beautiful colors and the crisp air. I also love fall activities. I'm obsessed with my local pumpkin patch, plus they have the greatest pumpkin pie milkshake

Baby is the size of a (an): mango

    Team blue/pink/green: blue

Upcoming Appointments: anatomy scan at the end of the month

How are you feeling?: Physically and energy-wise, good! I've started exercising again FINALLY which feels fantastic. Emotionally, basically everything makes me cry - I didn't experience this earlier in pregnancy but it's hit hard in the past few weeks. Also, pregnancy brain has kicked in so I'm constantly forgetting what I'm doing and bumping into things. It's like my brain can only focus on one thing at time. I feel like I'm not firing on all cylinders (and work has gotten particularly stressful recently so this is not ideal).

Rants/Raves: Because my hormones are in overdrive, I have a lot of rants these days, so uh... I'll skip this lol.

Questions: Is anyone else experiencing hair loss? I am! I looked it up and the internet says that it could be just hormone-related, but could also be a sign of low iron. I'm going to contact my doctor about it, but I'm annoyed because I totally thought my hair would be amazing by now!

GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather? This is location-dependent for me! I grew up in the Northeast, and there, it's absolutely fall. The changing leaves, apples, smell of the air, wearing sweaters - I love it all so much. In Colorado, though, it's late spring when everything is finally blooming and, because of the rain and melting snow, it's all so green.
  • @killerclaudia I'm a first-time mom but I did sign up for a hospital tour! I hate not knowing what I'm doing so I wanted to make sure I can see the place ahead of time. I'll be doing that in a few weeks (when I'm 21-22 weeks).

@fk18 On the scale, I feel like I've already gained more than enough, but I suspect that I started at a higher weight than my "usual" due to other health things that I had going on during conception and the first trimester. I feel fine, and I expect my doctor to mention it if I gain too quickly. I think it never hurts to ask your doc about things, but I would also trust that they'll tell you if you need to gain more.
  • @fk18 I have shed a lot of tears over weight progression. Until a week or two ago, I had awful nausea and was throwing up constantly.. a lot of days I couldn't keep any food down at all.. and ended up losing a lot of weight that im still working to gain back. A friend of mine is on her second pregnancy and assured me that even if you are not gaining the weight you would like to, baby is taking whatever they need from you and thriving. She has HG and needed to be hospitalized during her first pregnancy, lost weight in both her first and second trimester, and gave birth to an incredibly healthy baby girl (I believe she was a little over 7 pounds at birth). Just continue to do your best to eat healthy and take your prenatal vitamins, and baby should be just fine 💙❤️

How are you feeling?: pretty good overall, energy continues to improve!

Rants/Raves: I just don’t know if I feel my little guy moving and it’s really hard. I have horrible gas regularly and lots of indigestion so tons of tummy movement all the time which makes it impossible to detect. I’m trying to not be worried or feel defeated that I can’t feel my baby but I’m hoping he gives me a good kick soon.

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: What’s your favorite kind of weather?
I am a desert girl and love the dry heat. That said, I also love weather that is different than what I am used to! Tropical, rainy, etc is always so fun and novel to me!
