Anyone else’s due date change?

For the last 6 weeks I’ve been calculating my due date from my last cycle. I thought today would put me at 10 weeks, and have been recording milestones and symptoms in my pregnancy journal. But I had my first ultrasound today, and they said based on baby’s size I was likely only 9 weeks and 1 day. My due date moved a whole week forward (to Dec 26, so now I’m freaking out about a Christmas baby). Anyway, I know due dates are just guesses, but it’s strange to feel like I lost a week of my pregnancy already. Has this happened to anyone else? Baby otherwise looked just fine so I’m grateful for that.

    It's common to adjust due date following a dating ultrasound at 10 weeks. When it's only two-three days most provider won't changer the due date, but when it's more than 5 days most will. This pregnancy, I went from December 5th to December 2nd, so I wasn't sure if my doctor would change it, but she prefers to follow the 10 weeks ultrasound date as it's usually more precise than LMP to determine the baby's gestational age.

    My due date is the 22nd, so I totally feel you on the Christmas baby thing! We just might make half birthdays a big deal in our household so they don't feel overshadowed by the holiday:)

    I conceived through IVF so my EDD should be 12/26, but when I went in for my dating scan with my OB, after graduating from the fertility clinic he put it at 12/24. I figure it doesn't really matter since babies come when they want. I am going to stick with my IVF date because of science vs measurement estimate.

    This happened to me! At around 8 weeks my OB changed my est. due date, so instead of Nov 24th it's Dec 1st!

    Well, due date are just guesses as what you said, and babies will come whenever they want to. But in any case, you should have a plan for this date and that date. Anyways, congratulations to you, mamma!

    My due date was to be Dec 17th and they changed it at my 15 weeks scan to Dec 13th! I was shocked and since I’m over 35, they are talking about inducing me on the first week of December. I’m just glad that lil baby is completely healthy.
