  I know someone who got pregnant with an IUD. Her doctors said it could be dangerous to the baby to keep it in, though, and they removed it ASAP. But maybe it depends on the type of IUD? I believe she had a mirena IUD

  I knew of someone through my sister that this also happened to. Apparently the IUD was simply birthed with the placenta after labor. As far as I know, it didn’t cause any issues.

  I had an IUD in and they couldn't get it out, so I had to take one of the abortion pills to soften up my cervix, so that they could do a procedure to go splunking in my uterus to get it out.  That obviously would not be an option for your situation.  But, everything I read with the device I received and online says it is extremely dangerous for the baby and mother to get/be PG with an IUD in.  If I were you, I'd consider calling another OB-GYN for a second opinion and attempted removal of the device.
