March 2025 Babies

COVID positive :(

Hey all, H, DD and I were headed out for a long weekend to Ottawa - I packed the entire house (lol) and he wasn’t feeling 💯 - he ended up testing positive for Covid. I did as well. I am a little nervous since I’m 6 weeks and I can’t seem to find any up to date info. Is anyone has experienced this, let me know! I’m hoping it doesn’t impact the development of the embryo or lead to an MC.

Thank you!

Re: COVID positive :(

  • I had Covid during my last pregnancy but I was around 7 months along at the time. My doctor wasn’t concerned about it causing any issues with the baby so I’m sure it’s probably the same even that early. It sucked for sure and I couldn’t take anything for it which made it feel like it lasted forever!!! I lived by the humidifier and would steam up the bathroom to sit in there for a few minutes. Also saline spray! Hopefully you get a mild case. I just got over a cold and that was bad enough!

  • I have a friend who is now 39 weeks who had COVID about the same time in her pregnancy. She’s perfectly fine and I hope you are the same!
  • That’s very reassuring, thank you! I couldn’t find any data and then I found some info that there’s no stat significance it will have an impact at this stage. It’s so nice to hear your friend was okay! Thanks a lot
  • Thank you so much for the response! Good to know your doc wasn’t concerned :) so far it’s mild and I’m just really tired and have body aches. And a ton of 💩 problems yesterday, but I’ll spare you the details lol.

So far chicken bone broth has been saving my butt
  • I have covid right now at 7 weeks. Just got an elective ultrasound and baby is fine. I've been pregnant 3 times and had COVID all three times.
