Frida Mom PP products

I have my registry on Amazon and get a discount on items I purchase myself so I'm putting everything on this list. The discount kicks in next month.

As a FTM I have no idea what to expect PP but I've seen a lot of people recommend Fridamom products.

What products have you used that you will be buying again this time around?

The peribottle I hear is a must because of the angle
The disposable underwear - if I'm adding a liner and pad, can they be used multiple times or are they one and done? They come in an 8 pack; do I need more than one pack?
There's pads and liners - do I need both? Again, if the liner is going on top of the pad, is the pad good for awhile?
Then there's 'healing foam' which claims to reduce swelling.

This is so overwhelming. lol.

  • also to add, I do have the numbing spray (solarcaine) because while I love cooking, I'm kind of accident prone in the kitchen and burn myself a lot lol.

Is that safe to use down there?

  • Frida mom (and Frida baby) is THE BEST. The peri bottle is great, you can definitely reuse the underwear for a while. They’re not washable, but with giant pads nothing touches anything gross so I use mine for more than a day and change my pads often. I’ll change the underwear if it gets stained (likely will happen in the first few days for sure) or when the adhesive of the pads shreds the fabric too much.

I haven’t tried the pads and I don’t think I’ll bother this time either. I like the pad sandwich method of regular giant pad layered with a couple tucks and spray dermoplast on top. I’m sure the pads are great though, haven’t met a Frida product I didn’t like.

@mitchip I think they look pretty good. I haven't tried any because they came to the UK just after I had my last baby. I like a month later 🙄. I was able to get a lot of similar things from amazon that were fine. My peri bottle also has the angle and was great so I'm not sure about the hype. I got a jar of witch hazel discs to line pads. I also got a few of the cooling pads which were nice. The mesh pants are good for the first few days but they are the same as the ones that they use with the large incontinence pads so you can get them cheaper. My nurse friend got me some from work. They are good for the first few days but I found the mesh a bit itchy when it was trapped between your skin and the sweaty hospital mattress. I think an 8 pack will be fine.

I think I'll probably do some research and probably strike a balence between getting the Freda stuff with some cheaper items. Pads I'll definitely be getting the Boots own brand they are basic but thick ad pillowy. Get the thickest pads you can find because they cushion you a bit when you sit down.

  • @mitchip My friend is 5 weeks PP, and she SWEARS by the “ekouaer nursing nightgowns for women 3-pack button up nightshirt knee.” She also said the Rumina ouchie mama nipple rescue is the best nipple balm she has found. She had a c-section, so I inherited her Frida mom PP things, but I’ve seen some at home versions such a pads with aloe Vera gel placed in the fridge, so there may be options that don’t require a purchase? She also said the Frida post partum mesh pants were the superior ones. She and her partner also have two of the magnetic me onesies and said they are wonderful.
