The NHS guidance is to monitor baby's movement patterns rather than doing specific kick counts. Three for three, I've had pretty active babies and posterior placental so it's generally been pretty easy for me to notice a pattern.
I find that if I'm walking around they tend to go to sleep, this is apparently why babies like being rocked because it reminds them of being in the womb. At the moment baby seems to being sleeping quite a bit at night 🤞I hope that continues because no#2 did that and he was a great sleeper.
@cornichonmam agreed, I didn’t even know kick counter apps existed! I feel like that would just make me anxious.
This little guy is the most active of mine for sure, but he’s had some days here and there that have been pretty quiet, which has made me nervous. I think noticing patterns is more beneficial than counting kicks in a limited period of time though.
My second baby was the most mellow (didn’t translate to the outside, lol. She’s a tiny tornado now), but even with her I noticed patterns pretty easily and I feel like I would have known if something was off pretty quickly.
