Advice/Success Stories Please

Hello all. I had my first ultrasound today for my second pregnancy. According to my last missed period I should be 10w5d (05/31/24 was my first day of the last period.) and I am very regular with my 28 day cycle. According to the measurements done by tummy ultrasound baby is measuring 9w2d with a heartbeat of 170. My doctor didn’t seem to concerned but the ultrasound tech did go over everything more than 5 times with a perplexed look on her face that worried me a bit. I just want to see if anyone has had a similar experience/success story and that their pregnancy aligned back to “normal.” My first child was right on “track” so this is something that I have never experienced and google is only filling my brain with crazy thoughts. Thank you!

If you ovulate AT the 28th day of the cycle, then you should be about 8.5 weeks along, and so a little over 9 weeks isn't a big deal.  If you can't type, and misspoke, and you have a 28 day CYCLE and ovulate around CD 14, then you should be 10.5 weeks along.  At that point, being a week off isn't such a big deal.  Especially if you were NOT tracking O by using BBT or OPKs.  So unless you can absolutely pinpoint the EXACT day you O with complete certainty, these dating ultrasounds are the way to go.  Congratulations, you see a developing baby and a strong heartbeat.  That's the best of news at this stage, and news some of us would kill to see....
