How to increase baby weight at 36 weeks?

Hi! I'm 36 weeks and we just had an appointment with our OB where they noticed they baby only gained 100g in the last 2 weeks and she's already small (was 2100g, now 2200g)

She says we will monitor and check in next week but if the baby is not growing in the womb it would be better to do a c-section and she will have a better chance of growing outside.

Personally, I'd like to avoid the c-section & induction (but am okay if it's needed, of course, for the health of the baby.)

I did a little research and I'm going to try and make sure I get more protein & more consistent meals every 3 hours & rest more but not sure what else I can do? The doctor mentioned it could also be stress related, which of course I will try to reduce but that's not always so easy.

Has anyone experienced this? Or have any advice? I am a bit nervous but trust that the baby will be healthy & fine & will be on her own birth journey!

Thank you❤

  • From one appointment to the next Spud went from 59 to 36 percentile.  The sonogram technician told me that adding some extra calories (within reason) wouldn't hurt anything.  Little Ones also have growth spurts, so maybe yours will have some extra growth soon?
