NOVA moms- Alexandria, VA

Hiya! First time mom here. I am currently going to physicians and midwives for my pregnancy. They’re in network with Inova Alexandria hospital… I’m a little nervous because I heard various things about there L&D unit. I heard Inova Fair Oaks was the best hospital to deliver at in NOVA, is this true?? Or should I stick with Alexandria?

If you think fair oaks is better can you recommend clinics In network with them please?? You’d be a life saver 💙

Side note - I am African American, I really would love a hospital that listens and cares for my needs and doesn’t judge 🥹 (haven’t had the best experience with hospitals so I’m very vulnerable right now)

    We just moved to Maryland from Tysons! I went to physicians and midwives when we first moved to the area but wanted to deliver my first baby at Sibley so I switched to reiter hill and johnson! They have several doctors that are at each of their locations which is nice (until none of the doctors you liked are on call when you go into labor🥲). The hospital staff was great and my nurse was the ONLY reason I was able to get through labor without getting a c-section. Let me know if you have any questions! I’d be happy to help!
