January 2025 Babies

When do you feel your bump?

Hi guys! I’m 17 weeks today (due Jan 3) and while I feel like I have a bump, I mean I’m definitely showing even if it’s constant bloat.. the only time I can really “feel like it’s real and something is in there” is when im laying on my back (esp first thing in the morning when I haven’t eaten yet) and I feel like a hard rock/bump above my pelvis. I’m a FTM so it just doesn’t feel super real yet but was curious if anyone else feels this way?

    what was your former username?

My husband and I can tell something’s up (14+ weeks) but no one else can tell at all, and all my clothes still fit (though some jeans did pop open on me the other day 😂). I’m a slender person and don’t wear much tight clothes. Also a FTM!
  • Im also 17 weeks and i definitely look pregnant. My belly is bigger in the evening than the morning which is normal in my experience. This is my 3rd baby though and i had some belly left over from the first two. So my clothes didn't fit as soon as the bloat hit and my belly was too sensitive to suck in or wear anything tight which helped hold my belly in😅
  • I relate to all of these comments. I am in my 16th week and really feel like I am starting to pop a little. I also have a smaller bump in the morning but still poking out first thing! By the evening, I have a full on bump which looks like I could be much further along! It’s such an interesting time during these first weeks in the second trimester. Sometimes I do look pregnant with a cute little bump and other times I just look like I gained some weight. I’m looking forward to a more pronounced bump!
  • I’m 14w5d with twins and have looked visibly pregnant since about 12 weeks. 😂 I’m also a FTM, and I totally get what you mean about it feeling more real with a visible bump. The only downside has been figuring out clothing that works with the bump. I've officially made the switch to maternity pants, and now likely need to pick up a couple more shirts that are long enough to cover the full waistband. I was in a wedding last weekend and am so thankful I decided to size up in my bridesmaid dress, just in case.
  • I’m 15 weeks and have had a bump for a couple! Like others said it definitely gets more pronounced throughout the day. It’s weird to me that it’s so noticeable because this is my first pregnancy (to get to this point), but it’s fun. At this point if I wear loose clothes I just look like I ate a lot, but if decide I want to look more pregnant I just wear tighter clothes and it’s obvious lol.

if folks were comfortable sharing photos of their bumps at this stage, that would be so fun to see! I also could sound like a total creep right now haha
  • I am 16 weeks (will be 17 weeks on Tuesday), and I feel like I just started to feel my bump the last ~2ish weeks, primarily when I was laying on my back and sleeping. I really feel it now because my bump is growing and I'm so uncomfortable while trying to sleep. It is just this past week where I feel like I'm really showing, so now I'm purposefully wearing tighter clothes so it's clear that I'm pregnant. Before, I would wear pretty loose clothing to cover up the bloat lol. Now, I'm trying to sense if I can feel baby move! Still haven't felt anything yet. . .
  • Im game for hump day bump day pics!
