Baby Showers

Asking family to drive an hour and a half for a baby shower.

Is this unreasonable?

My husband and I live about an hour and a half away from majority of our family in another state. Where our family lives is in the city. For my baby shower I want to go to a cabin and have a relaxed fall baby shower. We are planning on getting an AIRBNB and renting it for four hours.

We are accommodating our family by having the baby shower in their state. However, the catch is, there aren’t many cabins in the city so they will have to drive out of the city towards the “country” which is about an hour and a half.

Do you think this is unreasonable? I personally don’t think so since we travel an hour and a half several times a month to go visit them and most of them never come here. So I think it’s fair? Maybe I’m wrong? Only one family who will come (husbands brother) has a child who is one.

I would see if you can get a feel for how they would feel about it but I personally think that's a bit far but all families are different too. Is it possible to find a place to give you that same relaxed feel that is closer to them without you having to do the whole hour and a half drive? Maybe split the difference at around the 40 / 45 minute mark?
