Miscarriage contents (description of what came out)

I didn't go to the doctor after this but I am assuming it was a miscarriage since I missed 3 periods preceding - does this sound right, or unusual? (see description below)

Felt a painless swoosh of discharge come out & when i went to the bathroom, a blob of red jelly about the size of a doorknob (but only 1/8" thick) fell to the floor next to the toilet. When i wiped, there was a thin red 3" long slimy string. And in the toilet there was a small dark clot with a wing on either side, looked like a tiny fish because of the 2 protruding "fins"....

The first blob had substance and indiscriminate shape inside it when i picked it up. I didn't tear it open, but you could see it as i bent it.

There was never pain, but I did have light bleeding with clots a few days later that lasted for about 2 or 3 weeks.

If you were definitively PG, and you suspect you may have had a MC, you need to go to the doctor. You may need an ultrasound to see if all tissue was expunged or if you have tissue remaining. You need HCG betas to track back down to 0 before you even attempt PG again.

At 12 weeks, my understanding is there should be a lot of cramping and pain with your MC.
