Symptoms and Care Tips

This can be a place where we can share some new symptoms we are experiencing and offer some tips to help alleviate or care for them!

Re: Symptoms and Care Tips

  • I’ll be the first to start! I have been congested and it has turned into a post nasal drip and nasty cough. What can I take/anyone have some home remedies to help clear me out. It’s keeping me and my husband up at night
  • Loading the player...
  • Honey is good for coughs. Not sure if saline spray would work for the drip.
  • I have extreme morning sickness. Tried dremamine, unisom, b6, etc. I went in today and they prescribed me zofran.
  • I was under the impression my allergies had just been significantly worse but now I’m wondering if the congestion is potentially a symptom.
  • Yes, the congestion can be a symptom.
  • i know this is going to sound weird but trust me on this... sniff alcohol pads for nausea.. it's the only thing that helps me!
  • Yes! I learned this from the anesthesiologist during my c-section!
  • Has anyone experienced very light pinkish spotting? I am 6 w and I know it’s common. But I just wanted to check in and see if anyone else had this experience and everyone turned out well.
  • Yes, brownish, pinkish, and at one point red (but very light) spotting throughout week 6 for me. So far so good here!
  • I used a tablespoon of honey mixed with a teaspoon of cinnamon for congestion and sore throats. Works pretty well for me :)

thank you. I had cramps a pinkish discharge exactly two weeks ago for about 24 hours.  My doctor said uterine growth can cause cramping and is a good sign and not to come in unless it’s actual bleeding. But now the cramps and the tiniest pinkish spotting is back and obviously my brain is going to the worst case scenario. My first prenatal in at 8 weeks, august 12th. My doctor actually prefers seeing you at 7 weeks but was full. So I am going to ask if I can come in this week just for blood work so I can stop freaking out. Yesterday I worked out at my gym for the first time since my positive test. I was also on my feet all day and wondering if I just over did it.
  • I don’t know about anyone else, but bone broth has been my MVP this pregnancy! My work bestie talked to me about the protein content and it’s very hydrating (she’s 12 weeks and the only one who knows about me right now, work friends are sometimes the best for secrets). I love mine with sea salt and lemon and I have one cup before my coffee. It’s also been a nice placebo for me as an avid coffee drinker
