Recurring yeast Infections

Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well and that the little ones are doing great. I wanted to ask if anyone has had experience with recurring yeast infections during pregnancy. I've never had them before, but since becoming pregnant, they keep coming back after treatment. I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same situation.

Thank you all!

Re: Recurring yeast Infections

  • That sucks, I’m so sorry! I had recurring yeast infections some years ago and was finally able to resolving it with boric acid suppositories, but I read that isn’t approved for pregnancy. I hope you can find a solution!

  • Not sure how crunchy you are but look into healing your gut health. From what i’ve read and understood, yeast grows first in the gut and the spreads every where else. If you dont treat the cause, only the symptoms, it’ll keep coming back. I had big problems after my last baby and she did too. Terrible red, rashy, bleeding spots on her cheeks (yeast overgrowth can present as eczema) and my mental health was awful. After some gut treatments (avoided grains, sugar and dairy) for some months, ive got her back on normal food and she so far tolerates everything and hasnt had any problems🤷🏻‍♀️ when i initially cut thing from our diet, it was really hard but within the month her cheeks were completely cleared and my postpartum depression was completely gone. Not saying its the fix all for everything but definitely consider it if other treatments aren’t working.

Thank you so much! You are completely right. I actually went to my OB and she recommended to take probiotics so that’s what I’m doing I started them 5 days ago so let’s see what happens. I learned that taking fiber and probiotics is super important! Thanks again!
