I have been getting a minimum of 4 migraines a week since I have gotten pregnant. I’m hearing mixed answers on if it’s safe to take Tylenol or not. Does anyone have any personal experiences? Thank you
I asked this to my midwife on Thursday and she said first try drinking more water, if it doesn’t fade, try caffeine, if that doesn’t help then take Tylenol. Its okay to take it daily but if you don’t need it (like if you don’t have a headache that day) don’t take it. Hope that helps!
I’ve had non-stop headaches since I started my 2nd trimester (I’m 16weeks)! Went to see my doctor as it wasn’t fading away even though I drank enough water & ate well. Apparently it can be caused by hormonal changes in your body & situational factors (Lack of sleep, stress, etc). She told me Tylenols were safe to take every 4hours (As per the recommended instructions on the package). I have the 500ml one and she told me to take two, maximum of 8 tablets a day whenever I feel like my headache is not leaving. As per the answer above, try eating well, resting & drinking a lot of water first. Doctor also recommended to take some only if the headache is very strong & painful, or doesn’t go away after 1-2days as you don’t want to get used to take Tylenol everyday! Hope this helps!
