I've been waking up with dry blood in my nose and my doc says it's normal because of the increased blood flow. I don't think anything is off limits for questions to your doc tho, especially since they are heavy flow.
I ended up getting Covid a few weeks ago (thankfully got Paxlovid and didn’t develop a serious case!), and I was so stuffy I took Afrin at night for 6-7 days. After I weaned myself off that, I started taking Flonase again for the stuffiness and seasonal allergies.
The combination of nasal sprays during pregnancy really did a number on me, and I woke up a few times in the middle of the night with nosebleeds. My doctor suggested stopping the Flonase and switching to an oral antihistamine, which cleared everything up.
I was hesitant to take something like Claritin or Allegra because I wanted to avoid a systemic drug if I could, but apparently they are all fairly safe in pregnancy. Just wanted to mention here in case any of you are also taking nasal sprays that could make nosebleeds worse.
