Red dot in belly button?

I just found a red dot inside my belly button. Is this normal? Haven't asked the doc yet, but I am wondering if anyone else has it??

    Well...Is it an ulceration or is it raised ??? It's hard to tell. Does it hurt? Ask your derm (if u have one) or your ob at your next apt . It's

    It doesn't seem to be raised and doesn't hurt. My husband said its because I have an umbilical cord going to the baby now, but I've never heard of it showing on the outside!

    My guess is it has probably always been there but since your belly button is starting to push out a little you can actually see it. But really, how much time have you spent looking inside your belly button before to know whether its pregnancy related or not...?

    Haha, I'm strange because I notice every little thing. I clean my belly button every day and it just appeared out of no where. I'll definitely ask my doc, but wasn't sure if it was common...

    This may not be it at all, but I get little red dots often which are the beginning of moles. Especially on my abdomen, they always start as little red dots and then a while later I look and sure enough, it's a brown little mole. Keep an eye on it, monitor how it grows (if it does), and ask your doc.
