Baby Gear Thread

Starting this thread because a lot of BMC do weekly individual product threads and I thought it might be easier to have in one spot (plus, how many recommendations do we really have on bath toys and prenatal vitamins??). I know we’ve touched on it in a previous thread. Obviously, every baby is different and set ups and preferences are different, but hopefully this will help!

STM and TTM+ please share what things you have loved and hated, would skip or wish you had bought sooner.  FTM, feel free to ask questions or vet ideas!

Re: Baby Gear Thread

  • Does anybody have the SlumberPod or the Tushbaby? Been considering both for a second, but would love to hear how they worked!

Also, who has a great stroller wagon that they love??

  • For a wagon, I'm thinking of getting the Veer. I tried it for a bit and really liked how it moves. But I won't be getting it for another year. I have a double stroller for that first year. My older baby will only be 14 months when this baby arrives, so I thought the double stroller would be a good option in the winter. You can always install a bassinet style seat for the newborn on the wagon, but it takes much more space.

For the other two items, I haven't personally tried them. The Tushbaby seems like it's made for babies over six months. From the pictures, the shape doesn't seem ergonomic for a younger baby, but since I haven't tried it, I might be wrong.
  • @froggerblue, I’ve got an ErgoEmbrace, but gave away the Lillebaby I had - Tushbaby would definitely be for older babe!

Thanks for the intel on the Veer! Love the idea of a bassinet seat.
  • I have loved my K'Tan when they are still itty bitty and Ergo when they are older (my babes were closer to 4 months when I used it). I tried using a Moby and couldn't get it right. My Ergo doesn't allow babies to forward face, so I bought a Lillebaby and my youngest enjoyed that. I haven't tried a Tushbaby, I would say the baby needs good  head and truck control before using it.
