    What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 3 after break

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 1.5

    Any thoughts about this cycle? Benched while recovering from surgery.

    Any questions? Do you have best friends? Any advice for making closer friends as an adult? I wish I had a best friend to talk about everything with. I used to have one but she ghosted me for a while and we grew apart. 

    Rant/Rave? Rant: Spouse and I had the biggest fight of our marriage last night. Really wish we could pull it together. I've wanted to have multiple kids since I was a kid, and I'm 35 so I don't feel like I can wait around for him to come to his senses. But I also don't want a baby to be in a stressful environment. Ugh. It's probably good that we're benched for a bit. We're normally so good together but I think he's been depressed /burnt out for a while and it's coming out as crabbyness towards me.

    GTKY: Any plans for Independence Day? 
    We're going to visit family and I was really excited but that's tempered a bit now with the big fight we just had. Seeing my family will be really nice though. We'll see his too, it's going to be a busy week.

    Month/Cycle? 2, but sitting out this month

    WTO/TWW? Idk, woke up to dotted crosshairs for yesterday. Just slightly earlier than usual but secondary signs don’t currently track that way so…🤷‍♀️

    Ages of other child(ren)? 5 and almost 10

    Any thoughts about this cycle? Not really, hadn’t really been charting for many cycles before we started ttc, so I’m happy for data. I didn’t temp with the previous 2, but since I’m AMA and all that this go around I figured I’d up the odds when possible. Also thank you apple watch for making it so easy.

    Rant/Rave? My 5 year old is a snack hole. Literally asks for food constantly. We’re supposed to hit 112 this week and I don’t understand how she can eat so much when it’s this hot. 

    GTKY: Any plans for Independence Day? Not currently. It’s supposed to be 109 so my plan is to not venture outside. I don’t handle the heat really well. But also definitely haven’t been feeling any rah rah towards the USA in awhile.

    no I don’t, and I wish I did. I had a friend I made at a job a couple years back and we hit it off so well but we both went to different jobs (hers was nights) and we could never find time to get together. It just kinda drifted to nothing. I would love to make parent friends from DD1s school but we don’t really have a lot of opportunities, DH works nights, I work days (we only have 1 day off together as it is). I love the vibe of her school but it’s not actually very similar to me(it’s great for her though)so I feel odd there a lot. DH has a dudes D&D/MTG group that he goes to like 2x month but they are all work buddies and not super good long lasting friends. 

    I feel like adult friends are so difficult. There’s like 1 person in my family (between sibs/cousins) that even has kids and is local (and we rarely see them). 

    I do have the FB group from DD2 and they are the bestest. But none of them are anywhere near me location wise.

    It's so tough to make friends as an adult! I used to have a bestie that I shared everything with and I totally miss that. Most of my friends already have a best friend, so it's like that position has already been filled. It's like there's no room in people's lives for a new bff at this age. 🤷

    @ferret22 I’ve had trouble making friends in adulthood too, it’s so different than being in college and such. I have one best friend I’ve known forever but otherwise it’s more recent mom friends. Idk if you go to a church but that’s a way I’ve met some moms close to my age and we definitely relate and have gotten closer. Sometimes local events for the kids, or even gym group classes are good ways to find people too! I understand though, it’s so hard to establish a closer relationship with a new person. Idk why it seems easier for the guys, maybe I’m just making that up lol. 

    Also I’m sorry about the fight, that is the worst. : ( I hope you have a relaxing time regardless this weekend and maybe have some time to come back together. Sending love.

    Month/Cycle? 3 (I think) 

    WTO/TWW? WTO… I have ov test strips coming in the mail tomorrow so I’m hoping I didn’t miss anything lol. 

    Ages of other child(ren)? Almost 11 months 

    Any thoughts about this cycle? I’m just feeling more hopeful this month and “on top of things” if you will. Trying to keep an open mind about whatever happens.

    Any questions? I haven’t been able to pin down when ovulation is happening so far. Anyone have experience still nursing and trying to track? I’ve heard ovulation tends to be later in the cycle while nursing. I feel like the mucus is all over the place and I’ve not been getting super clear test results. 

    Rant/Rave? My son has been suddenly devouring solids and is becoming… backed up… lol. I feel so bad for him but we’re trying everything we can to help. 

    GTKY: Any plans for Independence Day? Taking a little family trip to Lake Michigan Saturday-Monday which will be a nice getaway for a change.

    @ferret22 If you are hoping for more mom friends, it definitely gets easier to make them once your kids are older. They’ll make friends and then you’ll meet their friends’ parents. Until then the best option to meet new people is joining some sort of group: a mom’s group, a church small group, something hobby-related, volunteering, etc. It can definitely be hard to find the time for that as a parent, though.

    Rant/Rave? I don’t really have a rant or a rave this week. Everything’s just been kind of normal lately.

    GTKY: Any plans for Independence Day?
    There is a park near us doing some family-friendly stuff during the day (face painting, balloon animals, etc) so we’ll probably check that out.

    @mrskoehl Have you been temping to track ovulation or just mucus and OPKs? The temping won’t help you predict O, but at least you’d be able to confirm that O happens and maybe start to see a pattern of when.

    @britters314 I haven’t done that before but I did consider starting to maybe help pinpoint a little better. I will start that tomorrow morning I think. Thank you :)
