1 month old baby night feeds low

My one month old baby has been eating very less (2 oz or less) during the night- high drowsiness. Even after a hunger cue demand she doesn’t eat more than this and goes to sleep very quickly. Any one else face the same?

I'm sorry your baby has been eating less during the night. This can be a concerning issue, but try not to worry too much - it's quite common for newborns to have irregular feeding patterns. He may be undergoing a growth spurt, sleepiness, or reflux. Speak to your pediatrician if the decreased feeding persists or if you have other concerns. They can check for any underlying issues. Sending lots of love here.

  • Hey! My baby girl would do the same thing for about two weeks. I found that getting a water wipe and wiping it on her face would encourage her to continue to eat until full. It kept her awake just long enough to get the job done!
