They’re kind of similar, but I know a Jane, Jude, and June (short for Juniper), as well as a Joanna that are all in the under-4 crowd. My friend has a Josephine that typically goes by Josie. I also kind of dig January (Jones), but it’s definitely a vibe and might be kind of silly for a December babe.
We are having a boy so naming him after my husband, but if it was a girl, the name would have been “Josephine.” The name is elegant, timeless, beautiful when in script, and is ripe for cute nicknames like Jo, JoJo, Jose…
