Team blue/pink/green: currently green, but hope to find out in a few weeks
Upcoming Appointments: July 2 with my ob and 1st ultrasound
How are you feeling?: anxious. Pregnancy after loss (stillbirth) is hard
Rants/Raves: Rave- officially on summer break! It has been a very long school year. Rant- I'm either hungry or nauseous all. The. Time. 🤢
Questions: none atm
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition and/or favorite childhood memory? Random road trips. My parents would hear of some obscure tourist trap or hole in the wall restaurant within a couple hours, and we would just up and go! I don't know how they made it work, but saw some neat things.
Upcoming Appointments: This coming Monday for my first ultrasound, so anxious for it!!
How are you feeling?: good! Crazy bad heartburn but other than that fine. Not drinking on vacation this whole week with family has been tough to hide but can’t wait to surprise them all soon
Rants/Raves: my amazing husband who has been very creative this week hiding my non drinking on vacation. It’s very helpful as I’m an awful liar.
Questions: anyone have any experience with a VBAC? I had an emergency c section with my first and had a traumatic birth and my OB is recommending not to do one, so I’m researching more but just curious
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition and/or favorite childhood memory? Your day birthdays, we got to skip school and spend a special day alone with our parents, it was always the best to have a special day!
Team blue/pink/green: don’t know yet but we will be finding out via NIPT!
Upcoming Appointments: My ultrasound appt is on Tuesday, July 2! So excited and nervous
How are you feeling?: Overall, not my best! But it could be worse. I’m feeling a lot of fatigue and on-and-off nausea this week. It does help to eat snacks throughout the day
Rants/Raves: I just wish I could about it from the rooftops! Only a few people in our family know at this point. I wish we could tell everyone without having to wait!
Questions: anyone have any experience with a VBAC? No
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition and/or favorite childhood memory? Every Saturday night my family would go out to Friendlys (remember that restaurant, those of you who live in the USA?!) for dinner and ice cream. Great times!
Upcoming Appointments: had an appointment last week but I decided to find a new Ob. New apt. 7/2 and ultrasound the following week.
How are you feeling?: overall well. My boobs are soo sore. Feeling very anxious. With a hx of mc I am not really excited yet. Hoping that will come with reassuring blood work. But anxious it won’t come back in the right range.
Rants/Raves: Silly rant… why would it take an ob office 72 hours to give beta results. And why when you call to get the results do they say yes we have them but we can’t release them to you until the dr reviews them and they may not get to it today.
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition and/or favorite childhood memory? I hate being out on the spot lol I’ll go with camping in the UP. I’m a huge outdoor person and love adventuring.
Rants/Raves: just got back from my last beach trip that I'll ever take as a pregnant woman! Now to catch up on the laundry, ha. Also tomorrow is my oldest 7th bday!
Questions: not right now
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition and/or favorite childhood memory? My family has been going to the same beach, same resort, every year, since 1971, so long as there was a grandchild between 1 and 14 years old - we did skip the decade from 2001-2011, because we were all grown and getting married, but not yet birthing the next gen. This past week we had 19(!) of us spread across 3 units on the same floor and boy was it fun.
@cortsull0724, not a vbac, but my scheduled rcs was so much better than my first unplanned cesarean.
Team blue/pink/green: don’t know, will probably find out via NPT. I thought maybe I’d stick with team green but I don’t think I can stand it, and my husband will definitely want to know.
Upcoming Appointments: 6/27 will be our first!
How are you feeling?: I’ve had some minor waves of nausea, significant fatigue, bloating, and feeling more emotional. But I do feel better now than a few days ago, which unfortunately is just making me nervous.
Rants/Raves: I’ve cramped a fair bit the last couple days and I’m so nervous about it. I had a loss before my daughter. I thought I’d be more calm this time around but I’m not.
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition and/or favorite childhood memory?
My parents would let my sister and me set up a tent to sleep in in the living room to try to catch Santa on Christmas Eve. Somehow, we never did!

healing comes in waves, and maybe today the wave hits the rocks and that’s ok, that’s ok, darling. you are still healing, you are still healing- Ijeoma Umebinyuo, be gentle with yourself
Team blue/pink/green: green for now, my husband wants to know, I think it will be fun to wait until birth. But I also don’t know if I’ll be able to wait that long.
Upcoming Appointments: haven’t scheduled any yet. Trying to get insurance in order with a birth center before establishing care.
How are you feeling?: anxious that I don’t have any care lined up, a bit fatigued, bloated and frequent urination.
Questions: Has anyone had a birth center birth? I look forward to the individualized care but don’t know about the birthing part. I had a hospital and an unplanned homebirth in 2022. I wish I could do a planned homebirth but financial wise, it’s not likely, insurance doesn’t cover it.
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition and/or favorite childhood memory? Twice a year we’d take a 12 hour road trip to visit my parents family for summer and winter holidays.
Team Pink/Blue/Green: Currently very Green 🤢🤢🤢 will be doing sneak peek test this week though and sending it in. Hoping for another girl.
Upcoming Appointments: First will be on July 1st for a dating ultrasound and confirm viability.
How are you feeling? Horrible. I hate this. I have a fear of vomiting so makes this 1000x harder. No vomit yet but very very nauseous all day every day. Worse of it is in the mornings.
Rants/Raves: I really wish my fiancé could take on all this nausea. Starting to feel some slight resentment that I have to bear all of this myself. He just gets to continue life normally. 🤬 He has been very supportive though but damn women have it rough. I can’t imagine another 6 weeks of this nausea.
Questions: None.
GTKY: My favorite tradition is all the Christmas ones. Baking cookies, trimming the tree, hanging stockings, and all the Christmas decorating!
Upcoming Appointments: First ultrasound on July 2nd.
How are you feeling? Still cautiously optimistic! Been waking up very early for weeks. In December I had bleeding after sex that ended up being a CP and have been scared to try again for fear of losing this one even though it likely didn't cause the loss. But we can't wait forever..
Rants/Raves: Staying with my parents all next week for a family wedding but don't plan to tell them until after the first appointment so hoping I can keep it under wraps..bringing some non alcoholic wine I can sneak off to pour into a glass.
Questions: Any tips for not giving your pregnancy status away and/or if you were nervous about sex harming the pregnancy, how you got over it?
GTKY: My favorite tradition is going on a hike the day after Thanksgiving to hunt for mistletoe
