Hypnobirthing

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to suggest hypnobirthing to anyone interested. When I first heard of it with my 1st I thought it ludicrous.
I used it with my 2nd, my 3rd, my miscarriage, and my 4th. I plan to use it again with my 5th.

It helped me go med free on all of my births that I used it on. It helped with my miscarriage and staying calm.

I got an epidural with my first. I'm not anti meds. I just prefer a cheaper experience and in my experiences I recovered faster and had better milk production without it. Everyone is different, as is every birth. Just what I experienced.

IMO this is a tool to help with your mental during labor and pregnancy. I had my 3rd during 2020. The crazy year that it was and I was calmer and more in the zone with that one than any of them and it was the most chaotic birth of them all.

This tool will help if you have to be rushed in for a csection or even if you have a fear of needles and want an epidural. It makes you mentally strong and able to breath through it all.

It consists of meditation and listening to free YouTube channels.

Anyway I just wanted to share to hopefully help even one person. I wish I had not thought it so crazy with my 1st. I'm sure many will laugh at this post, and that's fine. I've been there. Everyone is different. I truly wish medical offices would suggest this tool so women could be more at ease during this time in their lives.

Congratulations Mamas on your pregnancies. Can't wait to hear all of your amazing stories throughout this journey. ❤️

Re: Hypnobirthing

  • Thank you for sharing, I have been looking into hypnobirthing and it is helpful to read this positive anecdote. I am looking to sign up for a class that focuses on the morgan method? I do not know the different methods, but this seems to be the only one available near me. How early did you begin practicing?

  • I I have always meditated. The brain is such a powerful tool. So doing that throughout pregnancy helps. Breathing techniques in high pain or intense moments are so helpful. Toward the end of pregnancy the last 2 months but really the last month I will do a listening meditation via YouTube videos. nealry daily. Either while falling asleep or just an afternoon moment. It really helped me.
I really want to avoid a c-section everytime and I feel I'd be in a good head space if I was rushed in for one using this tool. They don't offer any classes near me. I'd love to hear about how those go, if you do join them.
  • I’m glad you made this post. I’m actually interested in hypnobirthing.
  • Please let us know how it goes for you if you do try it. The stories women have told me after I suggest are amazing!
  • Thanks for sharing! I had heard really good thinking’s about hypnobirthing from my boss and another friend. I just had my first session last weekend with a lovely lady online. Your post has encouraged me to start my meditations this morning to practice!
  • So glad! I swear by it. Hope to hear your amazing story after!
