5 weeks 3 days, hcg went up 70%

Hi there,
I’m looking for encouraging words only please. Does anyone have any success stories regarding HCG jump of 70% and not doubling? I’m 5 weeks and 3 days, I know it’s super early. My HCG was 264 and 48 hours later it was 449. I also lost my breast tenderness and fatigue but remain bloated.

  • oad0002  I'm sorry but the most important thing about HCG is that it doubles every 48 hours in early PG.  Yours is not doubling, and not very close to doubling either.  I've heard some stories of slow rising HCG, but most of those held on long enough to be a loss later.  There are a very few rare stories of success, but you should really prepare yourself for a loss.  When is your next HCG blood draw?  Hopefully that will let you know more.

  • @oad0002 My clinic told me that while doubling is ideal, they wanted to at least see a minimum 53% rise within 48 hours. My understanding is that hCG production is also not steady, it will increase faster some days and slower on others. As @dpjennifer said your situation isn’t ideal and it may be worth beginning to prepare yourself for a negative outcome, but I don’t think you have to give up hope yet. Wishing you all the best 💛
